Appendant Order Meetings:

1.The Appendant Order Meetings are listed under the Conclaves and Meetings in the Division. Conclaves nominated are to arrange their own Appendant Order Meetings, or link with other Conclaves as nominated.

2.The dates being fixed, it is the responsibility of the Captain of the Divisional Sepulchre Guard to alert the Guards that their services will be required. He, in turn, will need to work with the Conclave Recorder to ensure that the Guards receive summonses and conform to the Conclave requirements for dining.

3.Although it is desirable for all candidates to receive the Appendant Orders as soon as is practicable and, wherever possible, within the Masonic season in which they are installed, there is a limit of three on the number of candidates. This allows each to be ‘Representative Candidate’ for one part of the ceremony. No change to this limit may be made without the express permission of the Intendant-General.

4.To assist candidates to complete their Appendant Orders promptly any Conclave having a ‘vacancy’ should notify theDivisional Recorder who will offer it to the next most seniorKnight available within the Division who is still waiting. (He willof course, consult that Knight’s own Conclave Recorder beforemaking such an offer.

Divisional ‘Appendant Orders’ Equipment:

1.Use of the Appendant Orders equipment is controlled by the Divisional Warden of Regalia. A small charge may be made for the use and this is added to a Conclave’s Annual Divisional charge.

2.When contacted by a Conclave, the Divisional Warden of Regalia will arrange a time for the equipment to be issued to a Conclave representative and another time when it can be returned.

3.In both instances a full inventory of the equipment will be taken so that the equipment is checked out and in.

4.The responsibility for care of the equipment, its storage and transportation between those times lies entirely with the Conclave using it.

Notes for Divisional Officers:

Divisional Grand Conclave – 25thNovember 2017

The Viceroy is the only Divisional Officer who takes on his duties immediately he is appointed. All other Officers assume their duties the day following their appointment.

The current 2017-2018 team of Divisional Officers are those who will be ‘on parade’ for the next Divisional Conclave. If you are a Divisional Officer and are unable to be present it is essential that you let the Divisional Marshal know immediately.

Divisional Officers visiting Conclaves:

The Intendant-General would encourage all Divisional Officers to visit Conclaves other than their own and to support him or to be his official

Representative by attending. Officers making such visits should of course arrange their visit with the Conclave Recorder and pay for their meal.

Divisional Sepulchre Guard:

The Guard are on duty for all formal Divisional occasions including the Intendant-General’s Official visits, Enthronements and for all ceremonies of the Appendant Orders. Although appointment to the guard is not a ‘Divisional Office’, it is nevertheless an honour. The wearing of the purple collarette and tie is a mark of distinction within the order. All guards are expected to make themselves available if at all possible when called upon by the Captain to attend ceremonies or rehearsals.

Intendant-General’s Official Visits:

The Official visits this year will be totheMount Lebanon Conclave No.270 on Monday 26th February, 2018 andto St. Brannock’s Conclave No.342 on Thursday5th June 2018. Members of the Divisional Team who cannot be present at these meetings please let the Divisional Marshal know as soon as possible.

Divisional Regalia:

The sash of a Knight invested with Divisional Office, Past or Present, is the white sash of the Order embellished with red piping and a circular motif showing the Division of Devon and Cornwall
