Step 4: A second dialog box will pop up prompting you to select a VPN method. Note: If you do not select a VPN connection you will not be able to access Seagate resources.
Step 5:
If you select the Check Point VPN client click Connect then enter your GID and Token Passcose when prompted. Click OK Note: the token passcode is your 4 digit pin with the numbers displayed on your token.
Step 6:
Using SSL: If you select the SSL VPN client enter in your GID and token Passcode. Note: the token passcode is your 4 digit pin with the numbers displayed on your token.

To Disconnect:
Double click on the iPass icon (red, curvy ‘i’) in your system tray in the lower right hand corner and hit “Disconnect”.

Getting the Software:

Connecting to Seagate
Connecting to Seagate using the iPassConnect client is a two-part process.
- Launch the iPassConnect software and successfully connect to the Internet,
- Select a VPN connection method to authenticate to Seagate resources. Detail steps below.
Loading the New Software:
After software installationDouble Click on the iPass

Step 1:
Locate the iPassConnect icon on your desktop, and double-click it.
Step 2:
Type in your physical location (Country, State, and City) from the drop down menus. To search by Area Code in the U.S., type in “United States” and then fill in the Area Code and first 3 digits of the number you are dialing from. Click “Find”
You will see a list of access points available by type. Modem access points are for dialup. Numbers listed in the phone book are in order, most reliable at the top. Press the Connect button and go to Step # 3.
The Bookmarks menu allows you to conveniently save and re-use phone numbers you use most frequently.
- Select an access point as you would normally.
- Select the access point, then click the Add Bookmark button.
- On the Add Bookmarks dialog box, type the Bookmark details, such as a Bookmark name and other data. Note that you can enter the dial properties for the bookmarked access point as well. (Continued)
- Click OK. In your Phonebook, the symbol indicates that you've bookmarked the access point.
Step 2b:
If you need to dial an additional number to get an outside line press the Dial Properties button.
Enter the number required to access an outside line in the “To access outside line dial” box in the General section and press OK.
Step 3:
Enter your GID number in the User Name field and your iPass password in the Password field.Click Save password.Note: Your ipass password was supplied to you via email and is not the same as your tokencode.
Press the OK button.
After you pressed OK, the Connection Status message box will appear. You may press the Info> button to see more details such as modem access speed.
After the connection you may receive updates periodically. It is recommended that you update your phonebook. If you do not want to update click Cancel.
