Respected Guest of honor Sri Umbayee – A person with immense melodic talents and a master in Gazal Singing. We are highly grateful to you for your presence. Your innate rendering style has made us to memories otherwise unreachable evergreen Hindi - Urdu rich -songsof yesteryearsfor us malayalees. “chaudahavi ka chaand ho ya aafatab ho

On behalf of all members of Ideal Family and on my own behalf I extend a warm and cordial welcome to all of you in this wonderful evening.
The Academic Year 2014-15 has been very eventful and fruitful. The year witnessed many excellent achievements in academics, Co Curricular, Sports and games activities which aimed at improving the quality of education and all round developments of ourstudents.
As principal of the school I, feelextremely proud and privileged to present before you my 4th consecutive annualreport of the school in this academic year 2014-15.
The new academic year commenced on June 2nd 2014 with a prayer led by Usthad.
Jnb. Abdul Salam Moulavi, Khatib, Thaikkattukara Muslim Jama-ath. Principal opened the assembly with her message.
On 3rd June 2014 after a successful completion of their tenure the previous SchoolManagement Committee handed over to the new Management Committee. Here I would like to mention my sincere thanks and gratitude to the former committee.
- On 21st June there was an orientation class exclusively for teachers by Mr. Benny Kurian. With this we have started our new session effectively.
Thaikkattukara Jama-ath Educational and Charitable Trust Members.

PTA
We have a PTA Executive Committee. In the current academic year they held two General Body Meetings. The meetings were live with the valuable suggestions by parents.It is remarkable to observe that during the general body meeting with PTA and the school Managementjoined hand in hand to honor the class X & XII school toppers, Subject ‘A’Grade holders and subject toppers by presenting gifts and trophies.

Strength:-
The strength of the students in this academic year is 1209 out of which 210 are in the Pre Primary and 35 are in the Higher Secondary.
We have staff strength of 84. Out of which 19 are non-teaching staff.
I have utmost pleasure and pride in acknowledging the dedication of my all teaching and non- teaching staffs and drivers. Whatever progress you find today would have not been possible without their active participation and hard work. I take this opportunity to congratulate each one of my colleagues. Once again hearty congratulations.
Academic:-
CBSE Examination of the year 2013-14 our students have fared well. Our students from X and XII ensured cent% result during their board examination.Muhammed Bilal of ClassX was awarded with Meritorious Student Certificate from the Board. A felicitation was held and representatives of Staffs, Parents and students spoke on the occasion. Mementoes were presented to the top scorers. And it is worth mentioning most of our students acquired admissionsfor further studies on theirown merit.
Examination and open house:-
No work is complete unless it is properly assessed. Evaluation is the key to successful assessment for further progress. Here we have a systematic assessment pattern that are by conducting examination at the end of every term and 2 formative assessments in the first term and 2 Formative assessments in the second term. Further to this there are open houses held after every exam wherein the parents get an opportunity to interact with teachers to assess the performance of their children. Report cards of examinations are also issued on that day. The school management gave their consent for conducting extra care classes for the weak students of IX, X, XI and XII. This was a success.
In addition to this for XII standard students, special morning extra study sessions were conducted by the principal herself. Every possible step is taken to improve the slow learners.
K G Section:
K.G Orientation Programme was held on 9th June 2014. Parents were greeted by theSchool Manager and they were guided by KG In Charge Mrs. Sreelatha. Principal felicitated the parents.
L.K.G classes are opened on 12thJune 2014.
New Section of XI:-
3rd batch of Plus One Classes started on 17th July 2014. At present we have 2 faculties, Commerce and Science with various optional like Bio, Maths, Computer, Informatics Practices.
Co-Curricular Activities:-
Education should aim at bringing out the innate talents of an individual. Education must give the children an opportunity to express themselves. With this in mind, our children are encouraged to participate actively in various cultural and literary competitions and most of them won prizes.
Commerce career guidance class was given by logistic and logic academy. One hour training programme and motivation class was conducted by Mr. Anil Kumar of logic department.
Yamaha Child Safety People had arranged classes on safety rules and organized snacks and certificates to the students.
Mrs. Pravitha along with Head Girl and Head Boy and all House Captains attended an orientation programme “Fala Samridhi” at Nirmala Higher Secondary School and got hand out to the activity of Agriculture.
Najiya Sigeef of class VII got 3rd Prize in national Painting Competition during the felicitation ceremony arranged by M/S TATA Motors at Leving Tower, Vytalla she was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1000/-.
Our students participated in various activities like
- All Kerala CBSE Cluster VI Foot Ball competitions at Navy Children School, Kids Fest at Cochin Public School.
- 48 students were participated in the Central Kerala Sahodaya Kalotsav “VISMAY 2014”at Vimala Public School, Thodupuzhaand Central Kerala Sahodaya Athletics Meet 2014 organized by Viswajyothi CMI Public school, Angamaly.
- Our K.G students attended “Fun Fiesta” at Cochin Public School.
- Five students attended the workshop for High School students by Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) at Naipunnya Public School, Kochi along with the teacher in charge Miss. Shanthi P T.
- For 9th std students, teachers attended the legal literacy classes in the Court Hall, Aluva.
- On 7th, 8th & 9th November our school attended Chess Competitions and out of 93 schools we have got 5th position.
- Investiture ceremony had taken place and it was a grand success. School Manager and Principal had given away badges to new office bearers
- Eye testing camp was conducted by Lions Club in our school. Miss Sheeja and Mrs. Sindhu were the coordinators.
- Empowering classes were conducted. For teachers it was from 9.00 A.M to 12.30 PM and for parents it was from 1.30 PM to 4.00 P M. It was a good experience for all participants.
- A counseling class for adolescent students was conducted by Sr. Arpita of St. Jude counseling center, Aluva.
Co-curricular activities form an integral part of the school time table.
Arts & Sports:-
Annual Sports Meet was on 5th November. Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Mr. Moideen Naina, International Volleyball player and the salute was taken by Mr.K.M. Abdul Karim, Managing Trustee and Annual sports torch was lightened by Principal - Red House won the overall championship, Congratulations to the winners.
Kiddies of Ideal attended CBSE Inter School athletics competitions held at Viswajyothi, Angamaly they won various prizes like High Jump for girls (1st prize), Shot Put boys (3rd Prize), High Jump junior boys (3rd Prize), and 100meter race (3rd Prize).
School Arts Day Programmes were conducted on 10th, 11th & 12th November 2014. It was an opportunity for all the students to show case their art talents and they won many applauds for the same.
Besides the Physical Education and Work Experience periods, more periods solely set apart as activity periods.
Children are given special coaching by qualified instructors in ‘Dance’, ‘Karate’, Valley Ball, Football etc. In this way children of our school made their mark in Co-curricular activities.
In athletics too, students from the school competed in Track and Field events at School Level, Zonal Level, District Level and even State Level too. It was another feather in Ideal’s cap.

Refresher Course:-
Education is a never ending process. The education of a human is never completes till he dies. All teachers must always be well conversant with the modern trends in education. In service courses/refresher courses serve this purpose. Most of our teachers attended refresher courses in different subjects like
- KG teachers Orientation classes at Carmel Public school, Vazhakkulam,
- Hindi teachers attended 3 orientation programmes,
- English teachersattended workshop at Carmel Public School & at Hotel PGS Vedanta.
- All the subject teachers along with Vice Principal attended subjectwise meeting and seminar at Al - Azhar Public school, Thodupuzha.
- Principal attended one day empowerment class at Central Hotel, Panampilly Nagar.IIM Faculty Prof Vijay Menon was the resource person. That was an excellent class ever attended.
- Principal attended 3 days mandatory workshop conducted by CBSE empanelled agency ODD.
- Four Teacher from IX & X attended Empowerment Workshop conducted by Elevate “CCE: A tool to Impart 21st Century Skills” at Harbor View Residency (P) Ltd.
- Smart Class Training was imparted to all the teachers.
- Principal attended 2 days “All Kerala Principal’s Conference-2014” at Hotel Gokulam Park, Kaloor on 12 & 13 Dec 2014. The seminar was glittered by the presence of Renowned Speakers. Mr. T.P.Srinivasan, Sri. Shiva Khera and DGP Dr. Alexander Jacob were among them.
Personality Development & Counseling Classes.
- A Personality Development class “DESTINY- 2024” was conducted on 1st November 2014 for general students. It was an amazing experience for them.
- Elixir Solution conducted a class for weak studentshaving learning disability along with their parents to improve them to assistance in teaching them.
Clubs and Associations:-
What is taught in the class room must be supplemented by practical knowledge. Learning by doing isperhaps the best method of attaining knowledge. Arts Club, Nature Club, Language club, Eco club, Health club, Literary club etc. patronized by teachers help the children to exhibit their varied interest, which otherwise is not possible in a conventional class room.
Farming:-
In school we have distributed vegetable seeds and plantones. 260 students availed this opportunity.
AIR representatives has come and interviewed our young agricultural pupils.
With 2 units of vegetable bags-Total 40 grow bags- we have set up a beautiful kitchen garden for the school and they have broadcasted School Principal message.
Study Tour:-
Our school encourages students to take part in different outdoor activities. In the month of November students of classes LKG to XII were taken to different places for picnic as well as excursion. Such excursions not only help the children to widen their horizon of knowledge also relief them from routine curriculums.
House System:-
House system helps to develop theconfidence and leadership qualities among children. For this the whole school is divided in to four houses and all competitions are held housewise. Each house is led by the House captains under the efficient guidance of House Teachers. Master.Anas Ahamed , Master. Md. Ashik , Master. Lukman and Master. Md. Yousaf served as house captains of Red, Yellow, Blue and Green respectively.
They kept the Rapo of their logo’s.
Pre-Metric Scholarship:-
Out of 85 applicants for pre metric Scholarship for the year 2013-14, 4 applicants received the scholarship of Rs.1000/- each in the first allotment.
Competitive Exams:
The school encourages students to participate in competitive exams with the view to enable them to overcome their mental inhibitions at taking up challenges thereby creating self- confidence.
- Amal.A.A and Muhammed Aslam K.J of class XI were attended RBI Quiz Competition and they have got consolation prize.
- Our students took part in the Noor Elahi Inter School Islamic Quiz Contest and Literary Competitions held at Al-Ameen Public School.
- PCM General Knowledge Test and Gurushishya General Knowledge Test have also conducted in our school.
- PSA Examination was successfully conducted in our school as per the direction of CBSE.
Activities and Celebrations:-
- “Vanamahotsava” by Forest department was celebrated in the school with Plantation of trees – which was led by School management.
- Communication & Capacity Developmentdepartment of Kerala Govt. visited the school and performed a small skit to educate the students about personal and general hygiene.
- Book Review Month: During June a month long celebration was conducted and all students were encouraged to read and review books, other than their curriculum. Kumari. Sandra Saji of IV B stood first for review of the book - “Truthful thief”
- Independence Day, Eid-Ul-Fitr, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day were celebrated with usual pomp and gaiety.
- Fresher’s Day, K.G. Orientation Programme, Republic Day Celebration, Inter House competitions, Installation of School Parliament, Eye Camp for children, awareness of drug abuse classes.
- Our school hoistedthe Legal Mission classes for various school teachers.
Major achievements during current academic year
It is indeed a pleasant to highlight the admirable achievements,
- On infrastructural development we constructed Mini Auditorium, could add 10 additional smart classes and could fix solar panels.
- CBSE has granted 5 years of affiliation extension. Usually it is for 3 years but in our case after evaluating last three years various performance they specially granted five years to us. We are grateful to CBSE for this.
- Another remarkable achievement is that of getting Minority Certification. As this was possible after a long wait of 21 years of our establishment its joy manifolds.
Once again I request you all for a loud applauses for all these remarkable achievements as these were very essential and will lead us to speed up our future progress.
Congratulations to all the hands behind these achievements.
School Bus
The school owns 6 buses to transport the students. Almost all the nearby places are within its range. This intern helped the parents to commute their wards within the budgets.
Let me take this opportunity to thank the school Management Committee for the benign presence and the continuous encouragement to all our staff and students in all their endeavors.
The cultural programme that is going to be presented before you is just a collection of many of the activities by our students under the able guidance of our teachers. I am sure you would enjoy the programmes presented by our students this evening.
Before I conclude, I express special thanks to our Chairman, President, Manager, Secretary, all 41 Jama-ath council members, Parents, PTA, well wishers, teaching and non teaching staff and my dearest students for their valuable support, suggestions and cooperation.“Without you, we could never have scaled this height of eminence and glory.
Above all, I thank Almighty for all the blessing bestowed upon us and pray for his continued merciful grace on us.”
Dear Children I, have word of special advice to you. A quote of Horace Mann-he was an American education reformist “Education, then, beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equalizer of the conditions of men, the balance-wheel of the social machinery” this should be our aspiration which we aim to fulfil.
