The tuition for the Owasso Dental Assisting Academy program is $2995.00 and includes all of the following:
· Textbook: “Modern Dental Assisting”, Torres & Ehrlich: 8th Ed(2005); Elsevier Publishing
· Syllabus: “Concepts in Dental Assisting”, Richard Erickson, DDS, 3rd Ed(2005); DCI Publishing
· All Training and visual aids, materials and dental supplies used throughout the course
· Use of all dental equipment and instrumentation with actual “hands on” training during the course of study
· Training in ALL aspects of General Dental assisting, including dental specialties
· All training is done by dental professionals in an actual practicing dental office, not just in a classroom
Student Responsibilities Include:
¨ Students are required to bring their own paper and pencils and purchase one pair of solid colored blue or black scrubs to be worn to every class. Scrub tops must be long sleeved. If the scrub top is not long sleeved, the student must wear a long sleeved shirt under it.
¨ Students are required to attend all 10 weeks of class totaling 80 classroom/hands on hours.
¨ Students must pass all exams and in class requirements with 85% or higher grade to receive their Fundamentals in Dental Assisting certificate and letter of recommendation from the director.
Tuition for ODAA may be paid using one of the following 3 payment options (all options to be settled prior to first class):
à $2995.00 paid in full by cash, check, or major credit card
à $1500.00 down prior to the first class and $168.00 per week for 9 weeks (payable before each class)
à $1000.00 down prior to the first class and $224.00 per week for 9 weeks (payable before each class)
Refund and Cancellation Policies:
(1) Rejection. An applicant rejected by the school shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid.
(2) 100% money-back guarantee. If at any time during the first two classes you are not satisfied with our program in any way, decide dental assisting isn’t for you, or desire to cancel for any reason, we will refund your money upon return of unused books, materials, and supplies. Those individuals who drop out may be ineligible to re-enroll in future courses. We also reserve the right to encourage anyone to withdraw from the class with a full refund.
(3) After 25%. For a student terminating training after completing over 25% but within 50% of the course, the tuition retained by the school shall not exceed 50% of the contract price plus $150.00.
(4) After 50%. A student completing more than 50% of the course is not entitled to a refund of any tuition.
(5) Special Cases. In case of student prolonged illness or accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the course, the school shall make a settlement which is reasonable and fair to both.
(6) Discontinued class. If a class is discontinued by a school while students are still enrolled in that class, and the school is still offering training in other areas, all monies (student loan, grant, and etc.) paid the school for the students enrolled in the class at the time it is discontinued will be refunded to the entity legally entitled to the refund. A school will have 30 days to restart the class or pay the refund.
(7) Failing grade. Students will not receive a refund of tuition nor receive certificates if they fail to complete course work or pass examinations with an average of 85% or higher.

**Students who wish to pay with one of the Owasso Dental Assisting Academy plans must bring the full specified payment to each class and turn it in to the instructor before class begins. If a student fails to bring his/her payment to any class period he/she will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to continue with the course. A student who does not bring his/her payment forfeits all deposit and tuition money previously paid to Owasso Dental Assisting Academy.
