JOB TITLE: Cleaner

LOCATION: Various Communal Areas
SALARY: £10,750
RESPONSIBLE TO: Cleaning Team Leader

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Within Social Investment Team - Please refer to Leeds Fed organisational structure chart

MAIN PURPOSE

  • To provide the day to day delivery of a high quality cleaning service.To work within the Association’s Equality and Diversity policy and ensure that your Health and Safety responsibilities are carried out in line with the Association’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
  • To ensure that the Value for Money and Customer Care policies are applied to your duties and activities, as appropriate, and that you contribute to the organisation’s culture in this regard.

  • Attend each scheme regularly as per schedule, organise and prioritise cleaning work & litter picking undertaken in each communal area
  • Ensure high quality cleaning work is completed in all communal or associated areas & customer expectations aremet. This can also extend to cleaning individual homes
  • Cleaning includes the correct disposal of any human or animal waste from communal entrances or areas in line with policy & procedure
  • Litter picking includes the safe collection and all related administration for sharps in line with the policy & procedure
  • Promote the Service and Association to tenants and external agencies.
  • Ensureyou are well presented in full staff uniform, wear appropriate PPE, carry appropriate identification and adhere to the Associations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all machinery is in full and safe working order.
  • Ensure all waste is transported and disposed of to the correct area
  • Attend appropriate meetings and regularly liaise with Customer Services Teams to ensure service standards are met
  • Drive company vehicle to various communal areas, carry out all associated vehicle checks and ensure vehicle is left secure at all times.
  • Cleaning of the company vehicles to ensure we maintain a professional public image
  • Store all cleaning equipment and cleaning materials appropriately and safely, complying with health and safety & COSSH requirements
  • Liaise with tenants to increase customer satisfaction and provide feedback on the service

  • Undertake and record appropriate Risk Assessments of any additional tasks to day to day cleaning.
  • Maintain internal attendance sheets, time sheets and jobs sheets within stated timescales.
  • Alert team leader if there are any defective power supplies or any risks associated with working in communal areas, this is to include any personal safety concerns.
  • Completing any relevant documentation as required

  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations & Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Experience of working in a team environment with ability to work on your own initiative in order to achieve high standards of service delivery
