·  Advised group re new staff changes Dr Koria to join the team covering for Kirsten Riemer maternity cover starting in August. There is a possibility that he may be able to be offered more cover in the near future. AJ was thanked for his very useful contribution in the process of interviewing SK and LM .

·  Three new babies in the practice …….. Charlotte a little boy in Feb

Congratulations to all.

·  CM and LT settling into their new roles early days , lots to learn but in general it was felt that it was going well. VS settling into her new role too.

·  Clustering KPMG feedback JRB updated the group on the proposed new restructuring of the gp service. Although still early days AJ also attends the Federation / cluster meetings and we would keep the group updated .

·  Facebook activity Advised that we have been trying to raise the profile of the surgery by putting more posts on the surgery facebook page. RS advised that she had noticed this and gave some very positive feedback saying that she has noticed Mums in the playground talking about it and she felt the posts were very positive. We discussed keeping them fairly generic and thought it would be good to put more news things such as our flu clinics etc on the facebook page. JRB thanked RS for the positive feedback

·  Advised the group re our early flu clinics this year . Surgery trying to promote the service so the patients receive any other imms that are due or blood pressure measurements .

·  Private skin surgery JRB advised that we are setting up a private facililty for minor surgery , HW now has the dermatology diploma and this service will be available to other surgeries in the locality. The surgery is also exploring the possibility of running a satellite minor surgery clinic with patients referred from Land D dermatology clinic. HW is in process of pursuing this idea and liasing with L and D.

·  Eileen Springford is moving from this area, we discussed a possible successor. ? who Group members will have a think . The group felt it would be lovely to have someone of Eileen’s experience and strength. Thank you so much to Eileen for all your hard work, help and support to the surgery.
