Primary purpose of role
To assist in the efficient operation of the Inclusion and Support Department
Job Dimensions / Key relationships
1)No direct reports but a requirement to support the Inclusion and Support Department’s key customers drawn from a wide range of provisions
2)Administration support across all College sites and partner organisations /
- Head of Inclusion
- Inclusion and Support Team & Advanced Practitioner – Exam Access Arrangements & Dyslexia
- Other delivery functions in Inclusion and Support
- Team Manager – Inclusion, Deaf Access and Funding
- Information Systems Teams
- External Referral Agencies

Key role responsibilities and deliverables
- To provide administrative support to the Head of Inclusion and other Inclusion staff as required, including filing, photocopying, and other administrative duties.
- To support the development of accurate high needs funding claims for all funding agencies
- Receiving and answering enquiries, referring problems to the appropriate staff
- Inputting data to College Student Record Systems in an accurate and efficient manner and retrieving information as required
- To provide the administrative function to ensure that all learners who have learning difficulties/disabilities receive exam access arrangements
- Liaise with curriculum, inclusion and support staff and learners to arrange appointments for inclusion assessments
- To take minutes at meetings, type up and circulate
- To be fully active member of the department quality and review cycle

Appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision will be provided to enable you to perform your duties in a manner that is deemed safe and without risk to health

- To undertake dynamic risk assessments during your working practice and ensure formal RAs are carried out for any ongoing activity
- To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the job.

- Excellent knowledge and ability in all Microsoft packages
- Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 (E&D – opportunities and discrimination legislation)
- Knowledge and understanding of ATLAS (training will be provided)
- Awareness of ALS funding
- Knowledge of SEND reforms and the development of Education, Health and Care Plans.
- Good working knowledge of inclusive practice in FE
