Millions of our people pass their nights in total darkness and content themselves with the flickering flame of firewood used for cooking their night meal as a source of light. Imagine the dismal psychological impact on the minds of people who see nothing hut darkness for half their span of life. Science has made electricity as the greatest servant of man and our engineers can and must do research on transmission of power to the rural areas cheaply. If our resources if conventional fuels are as inadequate as they were, we must harness the energy of the atom to generate electricity.
