FR JACQUES HAMELit was with shock we learnt of the martyrdom of Fr Jacques (85) at Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, while celebrating morning Mass. May he rest in peace.
Pray also for the parishioner, seriously injured. /
AUGUST CLOSE DOWN: all Catholic organisations and parish events close down for the month of August. Everyone needs a break. Have a good rest.

LITURGICAL ITEMS: the stained glass appeal raised more than the cost of the windows and so a Chalice and Monstrance has been ordered from Rome, with that money in memory of those listed on the brass plaque & other benefactors.
RIP: please pray Carmel Nally, Peter Fallon (funeral details above) and for Kevin Kearns who died recently,reception: Sunday 7th August at 6.00pm, Requiem: Monday 8th August 1.45pm.
LUTON FOODBANK: thank you for your continuing support and generosity. They also need more volunteers with the school holidays rapidly approaching as demand increases dramatically.
