Faith Ev. Lutheran Furnishings Policy

Purpose: This policy exists for the use of thefurnishings (fellowship tables and chairs) of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. Our furnishings are designed primarily for congregation’s activities that follow the Biblical examples given to us by the early Christian church. In Acts 2 we hear that the early Christians devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. When the furnishingsare not being used for those activities, they may be available for use by the members of Faith, subject to the following guidelines established by congregation.

Priorities for Furnishing Use:

  1. The regularly scheduled events of the congregation (worship, Bible study, council meetings, etc.) will have priority over all outside events. Congregational groups (youth, ladies, FiSH) will also have priority in reserving the furnishings for use.
  2. Congregational members’ personal events (weddings, parties, anniversaries, etc.) will have second priority.
  3. Any other approved activities will be third priority.

PLEASE NOTE: Faith Ev. Lutheran Church’s use of the furnishings is the first priority. Because funerals cannot be scheduled more than a few days in advance, a funeral will be given the highest priority and may force a cancellation of a previously scheduled event.

Furnishing Use:

  1. Furnishings may only be reserved by an adult member, 21 years of age or older, of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, who shall be personally responsible for the care of the furnishings.
  2. The person making the reservation is responsible for returning all furnishings to their appropriate places and leaving the furnishings clean and in good order. The church has cleaning supplies for your use.
  3. If needed, please contact a member of the church council to gain access into the building to return the furnishings.

Application for use:

Request forms for use can be obtained at the church or online at Request forms need to be submitted to our coordinator, Rudy Jeseritz, at least 14 days prior to the event (funerals excepted).

After using the Faith Ev. Lutheran Church furnishings, please use the following checklist.

______Return all tables and chairs to the position they were in.

______Make sure all tables and chairs are clean.

______Check all doors and make certain they are locked.
