Live ‘Music Under Glass’ at the Domes

Free Poinsettias Offered & Train Show Opening

(Milwaukee) - The Mitchell Park Domes will swing open its doors for the winter season’s first “Music Under Glass” concert featuring AhVantSoul, a soul and rhythm & blues band, on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 from 6:30-8:30pm. The first 100 families/couples through the doors will receive a free holiday poinsettia plant. On Thursday, Jan. 7, Music Under Glass will present, Salt Creek, a bluegrass band, starting at 6:30pm.

The Dome’s Music Under Glass Series runs from Jan. 5 through March 18 every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Light shows will occur during the evening concert breaks and after performances. Additionally, the Domes Train Show, “Westward Ho” will open on Jan. 16 in the show Dome featuring multiple model trains running on over 500ft of track.

For the price of admission, attendees to “Music Under Glass” will be entertained by live music, an awe-inspiring, computer-generated light show and the option to tour all three Domes with their rare and exotic plant life from every continent on earth. A total of 22 evenings are scheduled featuring quality music with diverse styles and genre. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Families and children are welcome, yet “Music Under Glass” also provides an elegant and affordable escape for couples looking to relax and unwind in the evening. In the tropical dome, couples can walk along winding pathways to the wooden bridge in front of a cascading 25-foot waterfall. Admission for adults is $6.50 and youth ages 6-17 are $5.
