MURDER OF CABLE OPERATOR SOLVED – FIVE ACCUSED INCLUDING TWO SHARP SHOOTERS AND HIRED KILLERS ARRESTED
INTRODUCTION :- With the arrest of following five persons including two sharp shooters/hired killers , South District Police has solved a sensational murder case of a cable operator namely Ved Prakash @ Raju @ Mota of dated 07-05-2008 in the area of Madangir , Ambedkar Nagar. South District Police has also recovered the motor cycle used in commission of crime and the weapons including one Revolver ( .32 bore) make - Indian Ordinance Factory, four live cartridges, two fired cartridges and one country made Pistol along with one live cartridge and one fired cartridge .
(i) Ashraf @ Golu (25 years) s/o Mohd. Saleem r/o Jhuggi No. A-6/30, Pocket 13, Sector 6, Narela, New Delhi.
(ii) Mohd. Qamar (25 years) s/o Mohd. Umar r/o G-14/404, Jhuggi Near Gurudwara Seelam Pur, New Delhi.
(iii) Manish Kumar (36 years) s/o Madan Lal r/o K-146 & K-171, Dakshin Puri, New Delhi.
(iv) Raju @ Anda (30 years) s/o Raja Ram r/o G-1/10, New Palam Vihar, Phase-I, Gurgaon, HR. also at (J-47, Dakshin Puri, New Delhi.)
(v) Parkash @ Naan (29 years) s/o Anand r/o G-II/128, Madangir, New Delhi.
INCIDENT :- On 07-05-2008, an information was received at Police Station Ambedkar Nagar regarding shooting of a person in front of I-Block, near Sanjay Camp, jhuggi Dakshin Puri. On receiving the information, police reached at the spot and found that injured had already been taken to Batra Hospital . On reaching Batra Hospital, it was known that one person namely Ved Prakash @ Raju @ Mota S/o late Ganga singh R/o J-90,Dakshin Puri age 32 years has been shot at who succumbed to his injuries enroute to Hospital . On this , case FIR No. 212/08 U/s 302/34 IPC was registered at PS Ambedkar Nagar and investigation was taken up . During preliminary investigation, it came to notice that four-five boys came on motorcycles who were following the deceased and as soon as he alighted from his Santro Car he was shot many times from a close range. The victim had seven gun shoot injuries and was declared brought dead at Batra Hospital
TEAM & INVESTIGATION: In view of the sensitivity & gravity of the case , a team was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/GK Dr. G.Ram. Gopal Naik, ACP/Oprs. Sh. K.S.Bhatnagar & under the guidance and leadership of Inspr. Special Staff Sh. Vijay Singh, SHO Ambedkar Nagar Sh. Subhash Tandon , Sh. ].S.Mehta, Inspr. Investigation, PS Ambedkar Nagar, Sl's Rajesh Kumar I/C PP Sainik Farms, B.S.Maan ASls Gyandender, Tara Chand, HC·s Shyambir , Premjit ,Rajkumar, Ram Kishan, Rajesh, Som Pal & Constables Rajveer, Harender, Mukesh, Brahm and Vikram. The team deployed their sources and raided several hide outs of the criminals who may have been involved in such a sensational incident. The team also examined the angle of business rivalry of the deceased during which it was found that deceased was having a business of cable operator and had a running fend with the other party which was also having business of cable operator in the same area and both parties were having continuous tussle over the grabbing of each others customers. On checking, the main members of rival operators coterie and the rival cable operator himself i.e. Manish, Raju Anda and Prakash were found absconding from their respective places.
Another team of Special Staff also explored the possibility of contract killing and criminals who had earlier remained involved in such cases. On 11-05-2008, a team of Special Staff received information that two persons who may have been involved in this contract killing would visit the area of PS Mehraulli via M.B. Road. Accordingly a trap was laid at M.B. Road near T-point Lado Sarai where at around 11 AM team noticed two boys coming on a black Motor Cycle from Badarpur side who were signalled to stop but despite of the signal to stop, they left their motor cycle and fired upon the police party with the weapons carried by them. But, both the criminals were overpowered whose names later found to be Mohd. Ashraf & Mohd. Qamar -pillion rider . During their search one country made pistol and one fired cartridge and one live cartridge was recovered from the possession of accused Ashraf & Indian Ordance made revolver loaded with four live cartridges and two fired cartridges was recovered from the possession of other accused Mohd. Qamar. Accordingly they were arrested vide FIR NO. 400/08 dated 11-05-2008 U/s 186/353/307/34 IPC and 25/27/54 Arms Act PS Malviya Nagar.
INTERROGATION :- During sustained interrogation, both the criminals disclosed their involvement in killing of Raju @ Mota . They futher disclosed that they were hired by Manish , Raju @Anda and Prakash @ Naan for a sum of Rs. one lakh, out of which ten thousand were paid to them as a token money in the month of August -2007 . Rs. 70,000/- was paid to them by Raju @ Anda , Prakash @ Naan at the behest of Manish on the day of murder Le of 7th of May -2008 after committing murder of Raju @ Mota. In the month of August -2007 on the day of Raksha Bandhan , they tried to eliminate Raju @ Mota while he was going to Etah , UP to meet his sister and he was followed till Khurja but they changed their plan on seeing his wife and children along with him as deceased's wife knew Raju @ Anda. All the three accused and deceased Raju @ Mota were business partners and earlier used to run cable business in partership in Dakshin Purl and Madangir but due to their differences in the business , Raju @ Mota separated from Manish and started his own cable business in Dakshin Puri which was not liked by Manish and he started having grudge against Raju @ Mota. All three hatched· a conspiracy to eliminate Raju @ Mota and hired Ashraf @ Golu through Rafiq @ Pavva as Rafiq remained in Jail with Raju @ Anda . He got introduced Ashraf & Rafiq to other associates also and finally the deal was settled for Rs. One Lakh . Ashraf further hired Mohd. Qamar and two other associates. Accordingly, all four reached Madangir of the office of Manish on 06-05-2008 and tried to trace Raju @ Mota but they did not get the opportunity. Therefore, they all stayed in Tigri area in the other office of Raju @ Anda. Next date Le on 07-05-2008, they all again assembled in the office of Manish and where they were supplied with arms and ammunition by the Manish , Raju @ Anda and Prakash . After this, the deceased Raju @ Mota was followed on motor bikes and finally he was shot dead by Ashraf & Qamar near his house 0-90 Madangir). After the incident, Ashraf & Qamar were paid Rs. 70,000/- by Raju @ Anda and Prakash @ Naan at Mathura Road near Petrol Pump , Badarpur . Accordingly, all three accused persons namely Manish , Raju @ Anda & Prakash @ Naan were also arrested from their hide outs. During interrogation they confessed to their guilt/involvement in the crime. Police custody/remand of the accused is being taken and further investigation is going on.

Blind murder solved
With the arrest of one Ajay Kumar slo Base Ram rlo Village HaU, Teh. Safidan, District Jind, Haryana, South District Police have solved a blilnd murder case of Police Station Mehrauli.
Incident : On 10.05.08 at about 2.50 PM, an information was received regarding a male dead body lying in H. No. D-40, Anupam Garden, Sainik Farm. On receipt of this information, local police reached the spot immediately. On inspection, it was found to be a male dead body highly decomposed, covered under heap of garbage. The deceased was wearing a uniform of security guard. After local enquiry, the deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (22 years) slo Ram Swarup rlo District Hardoi, U.P., a security guard working in a nearby house i.e. 0-244, Anupam Garden, Sainik Farm, New Delhi. A case vide FIR No. 232/2008 uls 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Mehrauli and investigation was taken up.
Team : A team comprising of Inspr. Man Mohan, SI Dinesh Chander, HC Virender, Ct. Raghubir and Ct. Naresh was formed under the leadership of SHO/Mehrauli and direct supervision of ACP/Hauz Khas. The police team on the basis of interrogation of various persons of the locality and other fellow guards, established the accused person behind the crime.
Investigation and interrogation: During interrogation, the accused person Ajay Kumar confessed to have committed the murder for the purpose of taking out the money from the deceased person as he was in dire need of money. He further revealed that on the previous night of the incident, he came to the premises of Ashok and spent a night with him. In the morning, he hit the head of Ashok with stone and strangulated him. Thereafter, he covered the body with garbage lying nearby. He took out Rs. 5,5001- from the pocket of the deceased and fled away.
Profile : Accused Ajay Kumar had also worked as security guard along with deceased Ashok in the same premises in the past. Accused and deceased were working as security guard in the same security company in the name of Balaji Security Services. Accused Ajay Kumar is a non-matriculate and hails from District Jind, Haryana.
