CINOR 2008 Conference Tentative Program
The CINOR is first and foremost a conference whose goal is to review the current status and future prospects of the Normande breed in the world today. This conference will bring together many of the world’s associations, in particular Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, as well as Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and possibly others. It will last two days and take place in the Exhibition Hall at the World Dairy Expo in Madison.
Tuesday 30 September:
· 8 am- 8 30 am: various introductions
· 8:30 am – 10:00 am: Presentations from associations from all over the world
· 10:00-10:20 am: break
· 10:20-12:30: Topic 1: Adaptability of the Normande breed to grazing throughout the world and overall functional qualities (sturdiness, fertility, etc…)
o Panel Monitor: Joel McNair, Editor, Graze Magazine, Wisconsin
o Panelists: Ms. Catherine Hurtaud for Luc Delaby, INRA Rennes (French National Agronomy Research Institute), and Haras du Pin Research Station, Normandy, France; High/Low grain diets effects on Holstein/Normande herd
