Offers opportunities to dialogue and collaborate with Filipino- American leaders and experts in various fields of expertise.
Community Involvement and Representation Provide representation to influence social and health care policies affecting members, Filipino-American nurses and Philippine –American communities in general.
Community Outreach/Projects. Promote participation in health fairs / wellness activities and projects to promote health in the communities.
Newsletter/Website. PNA North publishes “Balita” which features relevant articles and current issues affecting nursing practice. It contains also a listing of PNANH activities. Members can also access the PNANH website at www.pnanorthhouston.org
Membership. PNA North Houston members have automatic membership to the PNAA and will receive benefits as PNAA member.
Research. Develop and implement research programs that will benefit the health care needs of Filipino-Americans.

Membership to this organization is a privilege and contingent on compliance with the requirements as specified by the Constitution and By-laws.
Membership Categories:
A. Active member: Any Filipino – American nurse who has been granted a license to practice as a registered nurse in the Philippines and any state in the United States and/or its territories.
B. Associate member: Any registered nurse of non-Filipino ethnic origin with a license to practice in any state in the United States and/or its territories and recommended by an active member including License Vocational Nurses and Student Nurses.
C. Honorary member: A person to whom honorary membership is conferred by virtue of a majority vote of the Executive Board. This person must have rendered distinguished service or valuable assistance to the nursing profession and towards achieving the objectives of the organization.
The PNANH shall not discriminate against any applicant or member on the basis of race, age, sex, sexual orientation, religion or disabilities.

PNANH OBJECTIVES
· To promote unity among Filipino nurses
· To provide a forum to address professional issues affecting nursing practice
· To network with other professional organizations and agencies, to develop and implement educational programs relevant to nursing practice, education , and research
· To encourage active participation in community outreach activities to promote health and prevent diseases
· To collaborate with and support other organization in promoting professionalism and acculturation of members
