Field Name
/Description
County ID / A number 01 through 83. Refer to the County numbering sheet for corresponding County Names (available from the main liquor lists table).Local Governmental Unit / Name of the Governmental Unit which has jurisdiction over the licensed premises.
Business ID / A number used by the Liquor Commission to identify this license’s data in the database with a maximum of 10 digits.
Tax ID / A federally issued number used to track tax information.
Business Street / The street location of the licensed premises.
Business City / The city address of the licensed premises.
Business Zip Code / The zip code of the licensed premises.
Business Phone / The telephone number of the licensed premises.
Insurer / The company (or most recent company, in the case of an Escrowed license) holding an insurance policy on the licensed premises.
Additional Bars / The number of additional bars on the licensed premises.
Most Alpha Licensee / The licensee whose name appears first in alphabetical sequence when there is more than one licensee.
DBA / “Doing Business As” the name of the licensed premises as known to the public.
Permits / Additional Permits held by the licensed establishment, such as entertainment or dance.
MCL Act Number / The statute under which the license was issued.
Transferable Status / N = No, the license is not transferable,Y = Yes, the license is transferable
License Data – License Type and Number / This is a 2 digit number with a dash followed by a number up to 6 digits. The 2 digit number (see table below) designates the license type such as a Class C or Specially Designated Distributor. The remaining digits, up to 6, designate the license number. There may be more than one type and number listed for a licensee.
License Year / This is the last year the license was active.
License Type Definitions
01 / Class C: Beer, Wine and Spirits for consumption on the premises.02 / B Hotel: Beer, Wine and Spirits for consumption on the premises in a hotel.
03 / Tavern: Beer and Wine for consumption on the premises.
04 / A Hotel: Beer and Wine for consumption on the premises in a hotel.
05 / Class C Resort: Beer, Wine and Spirits for consumption on the premises in a resort area.
06 / B Hotel Resort: Beer, Wine and Spirits for consumption on the premises in a hotel in a resort area.
07 / Tavern Resort: Beer and Wine only for consumption on the premises in a resort area.
08 / A Hotel Resort: Beer and Wine only for consumption on the premises in a hotel in a resort area.
09 / Club: : Beer, Wine and Spirits for consumption on the premises in a private club.
10 / Specially Designated Distributor: Spirits over 21% for consumption off the premises
11 / Specially Designated Merchant: Beer and Wine for consumption off the premises.
15 / SDD Resort: Spirits over 21% for consumption off the premises in a resort area.
