Proxy Listto Reserve a Resource
The Proxy feature allows you to view a Resource Calendar and create appointments forthat Resource.
Before you can access the Resource Calendar, you must add the Resourceto your Proxy List.
Proxy Configuration:
- Click on the down arrow next to Online on the GroupWise window.
- Because some computers have not had the Proxy list updated, remove all names/resources
in the list except your own. To remove, highlight the name/resource and click Remove.
- Type in the name of the Resource you wish to access or use the Address Book to search for it. Click OK to add theResource to your Proxy list.
- Resources available at LMHS include: HSLMC; HS, Computer Lab; HS, Lower
Mobile Lab;HS, Tech Lab; and HS, Business Lab.
- Resources at LMMS include: MS, Computer Lab; MS, COW; MS, Room230A;
MS, Writing Lab.
- ES, COW is the Resource available at Prospect.
- You can now switch back and forth between your account and that of the Resource by clicking on the Proxy button and choosing the account that you wish to view. Your GroupWise program will always default to your own account at boot up.
Proxying to a Resource:
- In the GroupWise Main Window, click the down arrow next to the Proxy icon.
- Select the Resource you want to proxy.
- Click the Calendar tab.
- The Calendar Folder willdisplay the calendar on the right side of your
GroupWiseMain Window. Buttons areavailable to help you switch toother
calendar views.
- The calendar’s default view is Day. If you want to select a different defaultview,
follow thesesteps:
- Click Tools, Options.
- Double-clickEnvironment,and then select the Views tab.
- Under Item type, choose Calendar.
- Under Views, select a view that you like (i.e., Month) then click
Set DefaultView button.
- Click OK to save your selection.
Reserving a Resource:
- On a Month view calendar, right clickon a day you would like to reservea resource
(to see the details of an existing appointment, hover the mouse over the appointment),
select New, Appointment.
- Complete desired information in the window that appears:
- To activate the Send button, click the down arrow next to From and click your name;
- Select the desired Start Date and Time;
- Enter the class name and your last name in the Subject: field.
- Click Sendto place the item on the Resource calendar.
- To receive notification that your appointment has been accepted or declined,
follow these steps:
- Click Tools, Options.
- Double-clickSend then select the Appointmenttab.
- In the Return notificationgroup box, click the pop up list next to When accepted and/or When declined and pick the method of notification you prefer.
- Click OK to save your selection(s).
