GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CLEAN CAMPUS: Red flag!

STUDENT ID ENFORCEMENT: The Student Service Center is now set up and ready to print replacement ID's,ID's for all new students and students who missed make-up day. Students may come to the Student Service Center Tuesday though Friday during lunch and after school. ID enforcement will be in effect starting Monday, September 26th.

LINCOLN IDOL: Attention all LHS singers, applications for Lincoln Idol are now available in the activities office! Stop by and get yours today, they are going fast, they are due Monday, September 26th by the end of lunch!

ASB PUNCH SALES: There is still time to buy your ASB punch. It’s only $55 (cash only) and saves you money on admission to dances, rallies and sporting events, plus you get a free spirit t-shirt. This year you get in free to all home sporting events with an ASB punch (except playoffs). Stop by the Activities office during lunch. Spirit/class t-shirts are also on sale during lunch for $10.

LIBRARY: The library is now open from 7:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday! Stop by and check out our new books!

SENIOR PORTRAIT MAKE-UP DAYS: SENIOR PORTRAIT MAKE-UP DAY is SEPTEMBER 26, 2016 at the PRACTICE GYM FROM 1:15 PM-7:00 PM. Seniors can call LIFETOUCH at 916-844-1236 if they have any questions about their picture selections and/or options.

COLLEGES VISITING: The following colleges will be visiting Lincoln HS this week. The following colleges will be visiting Lincoln High School, Wednesday, William Jessup University during 6th period at the EPC, and Thursday, Sept. 22nd, Columbia University (New York) will be at the EPC during 6th period.

FINANCIAL AID INFO NIGHT: ATTENTION SENIORS! There will be an important Financial Aid Information Night @ Lincoln on Tuesday, September 20th in Room 1113 from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. The FAFSA & the CA Dream Act has an earlier filing period this year of October 1st. Be sure to file your financial aid forms on time. Colleges give scholarships and grants on a first come first served basis.

PSAT ONLINE PREP: Attention students taking the PSAT. Kaplan is offering free online test prep. Although this program can be completed at home, we will be opening the Library Media Center on specific dates and times to allow access for all students. There is a sign up and information on dates and times on the M-Z side of the Student Service Center. SENIOR ADS: Attention Seniors, Senior Ad packets were distributed during your GOV/ECON classes. If you wantto purchase a senior ad in the yearbook, come to room 1112 during lunch on Wednesdays and see Mr. Muñoz. Bring your completed packet and payment to purchase. Ad Packets are also available in the SSC.Don't miss out!Space is limited!

REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST: Calling all writers, composers, dancers and artists. LHS PTSA is proudly sponsoring the 2016 Reflections Art Contest. This year's theme is "What is your Story..." There are 6 mediums for artists to submit artwork: Photography, visual arts, literature, musical composition, dance choreography, film production. This year's winner will be flown to Virginia to showcase their entry. Lincoln High School is proud to have several state winners - this year it could be you! Applications and rules are available in the student services center on campus. For more information or ideas, you can go tocapita.org. All finished entries can be submitted to the Student Services Center byOct. 4.

CLUB EVENTS & HAPPENINGS

DUMBLEDORE’S ARMY: The first Dumbledore’s Army club meeting will be on Tuesday, September 20th at lunch in room 1513.

STEAM ON CLUB: There will be a STEAM ON meeting today, September 20th during lunch in room 1128.

PEOPLE TO PEOPLE INTERNATIONAL: There will be a People to People International meeting on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at lunch in room 1106.

DRAMA CLUB: Drama Club will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, September 20th in room 1204 at 11:30. We’d like to invite new club members who signed up at club rush to participate in a little improv! Will be fun to watch or join in!

BSU CLUB: They are meeting every Wednesday during lunch in room 1322.

MOCK TRIAL: Attention Mock Trial team members and those who are interested in joining the team-There will be a mandatory meeting thisThursday from 3:05 to 4:30 in room 2105.

PROGRAMMING/ROBOTICS CLUB: Do you want to build a robot? Are you ready to be part of Lincoln High's first FTC robotics team? We are looking for any techy student interested in building, gaming, programming, designing, competition, or being part of a team. No experience required! Go to room 1118 Friday's at lunch to help start this year's robotics team!
