Kingfisher Partnership PE Action Plan 2015 – 2016
Priority/Target / To utilise the PE Primary funding effectively in order to improve the quality, provision & sustainability of PE in our school(as set out in our school development plan)
Funding / 1 X £8235 DFE Government funding for Primary School PE development
Split into 3 parts:
1. 1 Year salary for PE Specialist to help improve quality & provision of PE
2. Central pot of funding from the 7 cluster schools for resources, transport, facilities etc.
3. Small pot of funding for each individual school for CPD, transport to partnership events and specialist equipment etc.

Sept 2015 - Ongoing / Improve links with externally run clubs in the local community / Contact locally run sports clubs to ascertain if they are interested in building on going symbiotic links with Gillingham St Michaels Primary Academy. / PE Coordinator / Two sustainable links have been setup with local clubs having having provided at least one taster session at school / Start of Year 1 meeting with PE Coordinator, Head identify strengths & areas of improvement
Discussions / questionnaires with staff /students about effectiveness
September 2015 – Ongoing / Award excellent performances in school fixtures. / Design and regularly give out certificates that highlight excellent performances and fair play in school fixtures / PE Coordinator / One fairplay and player of the match certificate handed out per match / End of year 1 – Discussion with pupils, sports captain and Headteacher
September 2015 – December 2015 / Train staff on how to utilise electronic Ipad resources / Hold a meeting or individual training sessions for staff to educate staff on what resources can improve lesson delivery and assessment / PE Coordinator / Teaching staff regularly use these to invigorate lesson delivery during lessons. / Verbal feedback with staff and informal lesson observations
September 2015 ongoing – / Increase the diversity of physical activities available to children during school time / Invite martial arts and adventure based activity instructors to provide taster sessions for all classes. / PE Coordinator / At least one adventure based or martial art taster session is held for all classes twice a term. / End of academic year done by PE Coordinator
September 2015 ongoing - / Setup east accessible and prescriptive schemes of work / Place electronic copies of lesson plans, assessment records and departmental documents on the School network. / PE Coordinator / Complete schemes of work, departmental documents and / Headteacher and teaching staff
September 2015 - ongoing / Increase the percentage of children partaking in extracurricular activities / Promote and structure existing extra curricular clubs more and investigate if other staff or external volunteers will start a club. / PE Coordinator / A higher percentage of pupils are engaged in extra curricular physical activities then the previous academic year / PE Coordinator and Headteacher at the end of academic year
