What does P&C do?

Many new parents might wonder what the role of the P&C is with respect to our school. Well, basically the P&C is there to:

  • Promote the interest of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation
  • Assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school
  • Encourage parent and community participation in curriculum and other education issues in schools

As a P&C we are a very inclusive organisation, and we are always keen to hear from parents who wish to help in all things school related, from school beautification projects, to fundraising events, to just volunteering to help out where required. In addition to our monthly Monday night meetings we will also be holding several other gatherings for those who might not be able to get to the regular meetings. So feel free to put your hand up at any time, or even just contact us if you have any questions.

When: General meetings are the third Monday of each month – We do not meet during school holidays.

Time: 7pm to 8:30pm, most meeting are held in the teacher’s staff room, however we do hold meeting at Breakers Country Club, Terrigal.

Cost: $2 paid annually – this allows voting rights

AGM: Annual General Meeting is third Monday in March, 7pm, follow by a General Meeting
