English in Australia in digital form

From 2015 (Vol 50-No 3) editions of English in Australiawill be made available to ETAs in pdf. ETAs will be able to place them in a secure online repository for their members to access either in addition to or instead of the printed version.

It is recommended that Institutional or Corporate members continue to receive one hard copy of the journal so that that the publication remains visible to staff who are not individual ETA members.

It is also recommended that an electronic contents list be placed on the ETA website next to each downloadable issue. AATE will provide both the contents list and editorial as separate files.

Conditions of provision to ETAs

Digitised copies of English in Australiaare provided to ETAs on the following basis:

The journal is placed in a secure location on the ETA’s website
It is not housed on a third party website
Access is restricted to ETA financial members only, as part of a member benefit
The pdf versions, or any part of them, are not to be sold separately
Access is provided to individual members and to the primary contact for corporate/institutional members
Access is by individual login, ie a distinct username and password provided to each member (not one log in for all members or a group of members)
The copyright statement for ETAs provided below appears alongside the online editions of EinA, and is displayed prominently on any related webpages.

The following copyright statement must appear alongside online editions of EinA. AATE will also include it as a first page in any downloadable EinA PDF.

English in Australia is copyright and editions made available online are intended for research, teaching and private study use only. If you are the author of an article that appears in an edition of English in Australia, please note that you retain copyright of the material published in the journal. English in Australia holds first publication rights only. Authors retain the right to self-archive the final draft of their articles in their institution’s repository. They may not self-archive the published version of their article,nor are they permitted to copy or distribute the published version of their article without prior written permission from the Australian Association for the Teaching of English.
