1. WORD GRIDSelect 5 of your words and using all the lettersbrainstorm other words that commence with each of the letters that make up the word – brainstorm 5, 6 and 7 letter words. / 2. SENTENCES
Select 5 of your spelling words to put into complex, descriptive sentences that make sense. Use adjectives and adverbs to enhance meaning. / 3. ALLITERATION
Choose 3 words from your list and to make a short phrase using alliteration.
E.g.: Rabbits running over roses.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. / 4. MANY WORDS
Select one of your words and make as MANY WORDS as possible using the letters in that word.Classify the words you have made according to your own criteria e.g. number of letters, syllables, those that start with a vowel or consonant. / 5. MNENOMICS

6. SYLLABLES
Classify your words according to the number of syllables they have. Rule up a table to classify your words and highlight the syllables in each word
e.g.
cor/ner, ac/com/mo/da/tion / 7. DEFINITIONS
Select 5 of your words and explain what each word means. Use a dictionary to help but remember to make sure you understand what you are writing. Write whether the word is a verb, noun, adjective or adverb. / 8. VOWELS AND CONSONANTS
Using your words underline the VOWELS blue and theCONSONANTS red. Finda matching rhyming word for as many words as you can. Circle a smaller word from inside each larger word where possible. / 9. THESAURUS REX
Select 5 of your words; use a thesaurus to find synonyms and antonyms for the word. Select two synonyms and two antonyms, look these words up in a dictionary and record their meaning. / 10. PARAGRAPHS
