2017 Woman of the Year

For almost four decades, WICT has worked diligently to help advance women in cable media. One of the ways we do this is by shining a spotlight on some of the industry’s most accomplished and influential women, such as the WICT Woman of the Year—WICT’s most prestigiousindividual accolade.

We are pleased to announce that the nomination process is now open for the 2017 Woman of the Year. The honoree will be celebrated at the WICT Touchstones Luncheon on September 25, 2017, during the WICT Leadership Conference at the New York Marriott Marquis, held in conjunction with cable’s Diversity Week.

Criteria: The Woman of the Year Award is bestowed on a woman who has made increasingly significant contributions throughout her career to her company and the cable industry. She embodies WICT’s Touchstones of Leadership, and is at the top of her game. Shealso shows great resolve to help others along their career path.

Attributes:

  • Strong and articulate communicator who can rally others into action;
  • Serves as a catalyst to advance the industry and its people;
  • Inspires others through words and deeds;
  • Listens to and connects with her peers;
  • Leads fearlessly with a sense of purpose and vision.

Please note: Current WICT Board members are ineligible for this award.
