Neutral text for invitation to tender
Wall protection cladding with HPL compact boards, invisible fixed using a support profile of aluminum and an upper edge protection of aluminum for flush installation.
As it is an integrated wall protection system the following has to be considered when it comes to fire-safety regulations.
Solid walls with finery or dry plaster: no further requirements
Facing framework:no further requirements
Drywall constructions:
Knauf: F30 wall W111 1x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Knauf: F90 wall W112 2x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Rigips: F30 wall 3.40.01-03 1x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Rigips: F90 wall 3.40.04-06 2x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Lafarge: F30 wall L11 1x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Lafarge: F90 wall L12 2x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Siniat: F30 wall SW11 1x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
Siniat: F90 wall SW12 2x planked GKF according to DIN 18180
For all above-mentioned walls F30 is already achieved with the first layer or F90 with the second layer. The second (for F30) or third (for F90) planked layer may then be built of usual GKB boards for the wall protection system. The wall protection is additionally mounted on the drywall construction and not integrated. In the sector or wall protection a pre-filling with Q1 is required (noise insulation)

Wall protection, to be produced of high pressure laminate (HPL)
(Board characteristics according to DIN EN 438 2)
(Board characteristics according to DIN EN 438 2)
The offered product has to be produced in any case according to the application recommendations of the producer of decorative laminates (GKV: Wall cladding version November 1998).
Color and structure of the compact board is to be chosen by the building owner, the wall protection is to be mounted on gypsum cardboard, brick walls or solid walls.
Support profilesmade of extruded aluminum. The mounting may it least consist of two above placed end-to-end aluminum support profiles. The upper support profile offers an edge protection to the end of the plaster or the upper layer of the 12.5mm gypsum cardboard. Furthermore, the upper support profile has to be produced in such a way that there is a smooth connection between the backside of the wall protection board and the support profile. The pressure is therefore not transferred to the wall protection board but to the profile. An absolute flatness of the front edge of the wall to the front edge of the wall protection has to be guaranteed for the total length of the wall. The wall protection has absolutely be flush. There are no tolerances. The bottom support profile furthermore offers a removal protection of the wall protection board. The ground clearance is 100mm and is provided for the Linol cove skirting implementation.
Dimensions:Panel thickness:9mm
Construction depth min.:15mm
1. layer GKF drywall board: 12.5mm
2. layer GKB drywall board:12.5mm
Panel height variable:800mm
Panel raster width/panels1250mm / 100–1250mm
The panels have to be placed symmetrically. Panels may not be smaller than a third of the raster size. In the case of smaller sizes the size of the panel has to be added to the raster size and separated to two panels. All panels have to be placed symmetrically. Ancillary rooms may be excluded from this regulation. However, panels may not be smaller than 100mm.
Upper clip in profile with edge protection profile:85 x 15mm
Bottom clip in profile:45 X 15mm
Mounting support profiles on gypsum plaster board
The wall cladding is to be mounted plumb and flush.
The implementation of the bottom and upper support rail should if possible be effected in one working procedure prior to the mounting of the upper gypsum plaster board. Therefore, an absolute parallel direction of the clip in profiles is guaranteed.
The mounting of the support profiles is effected in the bottom layer of the gypsum board and is furthermore fixed to the framework and the joint area of the profiles using cavity dowels. Prior to the mounting of the support rails the bottom layer of gypsum board has it least to be pre-smoothed.
The upper layer gypsum board of 12.5mm is to be screwed appropriately directly to the upper profile. The bottom edge of the gypsum plaster board has to be appropriately cut in order to see the actual edge protection.
Attention! Prior to smoothing the upper profile has to be equipped with a protection strip or an appropriate protection in order to avoid any pollution.
The stopper has to be placed behind the edge protection profile in order to achieve an appropriate connection of the gypsum plaster board and the edge protection profile. After the cure time of the applied stopper the fiber glass tape is implemented with the second procedure in order to avoid any bad spots.
The front edge of the edge protection profile has to be fully covered by the fiber ribbon. The edge is to be slightly smoothen with abradant.
Mounting wall protection boards
The clip in of the wall protection board has to be effected after the painting work is completed.
Prior to the mounting of the panels the protection profile has to be removed and the bottom cut beveled. The removal of the protection profile and the in case beveling of the bottom cut has to be calculated to the standard price. Therefore, the guiding which is free of constraint forces can be guaranteed.
Furthermore, it has to be checked whether a moisture barrier has to be installed to the wall. Therefore, a measurement has to be effected having sole responsibility. The wall humidity is to have a value of between 0.4% up to 1% as maximum. The air humidity in the wall (microclimate) and within the corridor or room is to be identical (40%-60%). The room temperature should be the usual temperature (23°C).
As a rule drywall construction do not obtain any wall humidity. Please consider that the boards should have the same temperature during installation as the usual room temperature (23°C).
The panels are to be manufactured as reversible units. The panels are beveled, grooved and connected using a black spring. The horizontal shadow gap between panel and plaster edge to neighboring units has to be 5mm at least.
The wall mounting has to be effected with elastic joint seal silicone. The color is chosen by the building owner. The gap has to be cleaned and pre-treated in order to achieve an excellent adhesion.
This jointing using elastic joint seal has to be calculated to the standard price.
The proofing of the gaps is to be planned to a later point in time in order to allow the ventilation of the panels by the gaps in order to achieve that the boards can acclimatize.

Base profile prepared for a Linol profile on the bottom side of the wall protection,
to be additionally produced to pos. 1.
As bottom connection a base profile is used instead of a support profile. The base profile has to be constructed in such a way that there are no fixing points visible on the Linol bottom covering.
Attention! The base cladding has to be further guided even in the case of drywall construction and without wall protection. Here other profiles have to be applied. The bedding of the profiles is to be effected as described in pos. 1 edge protection profile.
The base cladding is reserved 5mm from the front edge of the wall protection. The base cladding has to have a contact point for the Linol base in order that the bottomer has an idea of the base height prior to the installation of the wall protection boards. The actual rebound of the Linol base to the wall protection is 1-2mm. To be produced including all outside edges, inside edges and adjustment work.

to be additionally produced to pos. 1.
As bottom connection a base profile is used instead of a support profile. On this base profile an aluminum cover is being installed flush and invisible to the wall protection board.
The sealing to the bottom has to be effected with a solid rubber-joint. The compacting pressure of the rubber-joint has at least to be 10KG. The profile has to be resistant against all used chemicals and disinfectant in hospitals. Material of EPDM 60 Shore A, in light grey or to be chosen by the building owner.
The base profile and the rubber-joint have to balance ground unevenness of up to 25mm. The rubber-joint has to constructed in such a way that no movement is possible due to impact loads and be therefore be removed.
The rubber-joint has to be guided in an own profile and requires mechanical mounting.
Silicone is not allowed as ending joint towards the ground!
