PC Activity Types CPC036

Item Overview:

This page is used to create activity types. You can use activity types to (1) group similar activities for reporting and analysis and (2) enforce a predefined progression of statuses for activities of this type. For example, an activity type called NRDAR for Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration could be established for use by agencies with multiple projects (e.g. grants from U.S. EPA and U.S. Fish and Wildlife), each with different activities (e.g. pollution investigation, fish kills, resource restoration, etc). This would facilitate reporting within agencies or across agencies when statewide information related to Natural Resource Damages is requested by upper management, the governor, the legislature, or sponsors. Activity types are optional.

Project Activity Type / PROJ_ACT_TBL / The PROJ_ACT_TBL table is used to set up activity types.

Approach:

·  The State of Kansas will not configure Activity Type. Activity types will not be configured because agencies plan to use activities in a variety of ways, even within agencies. In addition, reporting trees and summary/detailed activities will give agencies a more robust reporting capability.
