P7s
Well done to all the P7s who recently attended their Link days at their Secondary school. We heard very good reports back that they conducted themselves in a sensible and mature manner at all times, so they should be justly proud of themselves.
Good luck to the 21 P7 pupils who are leaving to go to Kemnay Academy:
Reese Beattie, Zach Black, Brian Burness, Ben Conner, Jay Creevy, Luke Dressel, Shaun Everitt, Kerri Findlater, Tyler Gibbs, Declan Gollan, Emilie Gray, Connor Johnstone, Brandon Kerr, Lauren Lamont, Joseph Myles, Andrew Paterson, Frannie san Juan, Hayden Webster, Keightlyn Whyte, Lucy Wydmuch and James Wyllie. Also good luck to Euan Stuart who will be attending Alford Academy and Joseph Halgryn who is going to Meldrum Academy.
Achievements
This week, 65 children out of a school roll of 143received a specially designed medal and certificate at our award ceremony, receiving a high five from Courage the Cat from Cash for Kids! This is an increase of 22 from last year which is a fantastic improvement. This was followed by a picnic in the afternoon for these children, joined by the 28 children who received a certificate for being a Successful Learner, Confident Individual, Responsible Citizen or Effective Contributor. It was a lovely day and we hope those children, and their parents, feel extremely proud of their achievements.
Talent Show
Another fantastic display of talent was shared on Wednesday. Our winners this year were PatiMotyl and Morgan Finlayson in P6, playing The Cockle Gatherers on their violins. Congratulations also to our runners up, Ben Conner and Bethany Gill.Well done to everyone who had the confidence to take part this year. Yet again, it is quite clear that Alehousewells has talent!
P7 Bikeability
Well done to the following P7 pupils who recently completed Level 2 of the Bikeability course. The children all worked really hard and have learned valuable skills for life. All pupils have gained their certificates and badges.
We plan to offer Bikeability Level 1 to P5 and Level 2 to P6 from now on.
