INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT PROJECT FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE
GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a Grant from the African Development Fund to finance the Institutional Support Project For Good Governance.
The principal objective of this project is to assist the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania to improve the management of public finances, and to support the Good Governance Reform Programme in Zanzibar.
The project includes the following components:
Component 1
Strengthening the Procurement Component under the Tanzania mainland’s Public Finance Management Reform Programme, involving (i) Technical Assistance; (ii) Training of Staff; (iii) Provision of Information Technology (IT) equipment; (iv) provision of other supplies, services and equipment.
Component 2
Supporting the Good Governance Reform Programme in Zanzibar involving (i) Refurbishment of the High Court building and provision of office equipment; (ii) Technical assistance; (iii) Provision of IT equipment; and (iv) Training of staff.
Procurement of goods and works will be in accordance with Bank’s Rules of Procedure for the Procurement of Goods and Works. Goods and Works will be grouped into Lots. Any lot grouped to an aggregate value exceeding UA 20,000 and below UA 100,000 will be procured under National Competitive Bidding (NCB), those above UA 100,000 will be procured through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and below UA 20,000 National Shopping. Acquisition of the services of Consultants will follow the Bank’s Rules of Procedure for the Use of Consultants; this will be done through short-listing of firms and individuals.
