2016-17Leader Contract

By signing this contract, you are agreeing to comply with the following expectations:

  1. Arrive at all Link Crew activities and meetings on-time, prepared to focus, contribute, and with a positive attitude.
  1. Follow all school rules as outlined in our Student Handbook and the Iredell-Statesville Schools Student Code of Conduct. (Pay close attention to dress code.)
  1. Refrain from any use of vulgar language (either oral or written) while on school grounds and at any school-related activity.
  1. Maintain good academic standing in all classes.
  1. Respect all NIHS staff and students (especially other Link Leaders, your freshmen, your teachers, and your administrators).
  1. Actively participate in being good stewards of the NIHS campus. (If you see trash, pick it up and throw it away. Recycle after lunch. Put gum in trash ONLY.)
  1. Inform Link Crew Coordinators (Natalie Williams, Elaine Munday) if any issues arise which could disrupt positive relationships that you have established with your freshmen or other Link Crew Leaders. (Don’t beg for forgiveness later. Give us a head’s up.)
  1. Act with integrity,* both on and off our campus (*doing the right thing, even if no one is watching).
  1. Model confidentiality with your freshmen group, and explain/maintain this expectation with your group members. (What is discussed/shared within your group or just to you, stays within your group.) The only exception: leaders are required to report to the Link Crew Coordinators or school administrator any information that indicates harm or injury may occur to a student—physical, emotional, digital.
  1. Refrain from participating in gossiping about or belittling any other NIHS student or staff member.
  1. Maintain your reputation as a positive role-model at all times. Be especially careful about maintaining a positive digital reputation. Do not post anything or send anything electronically that you would not want your mother or your Link Crew Coordinators to see. Even Snapchat sticks around—ever heard of screen shots? IT will come back to haunt you.

Please be aware that failure to follow any of these expectations is grounds for an immediate conference with Link Crew Coordinators and could jeopardize your standing as a Link Crew Leader. Furthermore, Link Crew coordinators reserve the right to terminate your membership within this organization at any time, and upon notice of termination you must return any Link Crew materials (t-shirt, handbook, etc.).
