We are excited to offer Regional Commissioner Training:

November 10-12, 2017 January 26-28, 2018

May 4-6, 2018 October 5-7, 2018

November 16-18, 2018

Make your job as RC easier, more effective and more rewarding! RC Training features interaction with fellow RC; hands on, interactive sessions including local marketing, recruiting and managing volunteers; building a budget and dispute resolution, plus an introduction to all of the National staff.

The setting is your National Office in Torrance, California and we hope that you will join us for one of these exciting events!

Daily Breakfast at 6:45 am

Friday 7:30 am – 7:15 pm (Attendees must arrive by 7:25 am)

Saturday 7:30 am – 9:00 pm

Sunday 7:30 am – 10:30 am (Return flights can be booked starting at 1:00 p.m.)

RCs from all across the country come to this training. Representation from every Section is an important aspect of successful interaction and exchange, so come and join in!

The criteria for participation are:

·  Being the current Regional Commissioner of a Region.

·  Being willing and committed to attend this training in its entirety.

·  All RCs must stay at the hotel.

·  Being ready to be focused at all sessions including afterhours discussions.

·  Being willing and committed to participate in post-training follow-up in a timely manner.

AYSO Regional Commissioner Training Funding Information

Trainings run from Friday morning 7:30 a.m. until Sunday 10:00 a.m.

Training Location: AYSO National Office, 19750 S Vermont Avenue, Torrance, CA 90502 (except offsite locations).

RC Training Tuition

$625 per attendee – paid by Region budget, or Area or Section discretionary budget. Due one month prior to the training date (except offsite locations, due per contract restrictions).

Includes:

·  Three hotel room nights – shared with another participant.

·  Facility rental for vendor show, other events not held at National Office (if needed).

·  All meals Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast.

·  Ground transportation from airport to hotel and back.

·  All materials.

·  Instructor costs including travel, room and board (prorated per attendee).

Travel Cost Reimbursement

Up to $500 per attendee – to be reimbursed after attendance at training takes place.

Air Travel: Flights should be booked as early as possible. However no later than 21 days prior to the training start date to get the best rates. AYSO will reimburse the price of coach/economy class airfare only. Fly into LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).

·  Submit your proposed itinerary to for review and approval.

·  Once approved, purchase your flight. Flights purchased before approval or later than 21 days before training, may not be covered fully.

·  Submit the AYSO Reimbursement Request Form after training and travel is completed if reimbursed by Region or via Chrome River if paid by attendee.

Driving: Personal car use is reimbursable at $0.535 per mile. Personal car mileage expense should never exceed the cost to fly. If it does, reimbursement is limited to the lesser of the two costs.

Cancellation Policy

·  Cancellation of attendance at RC Training after certain dates will incur a cancellation fee, based on the hard costs (averaged per participant) which have been incurred up to that point. Cancellation must be in writing.

·  Prior to 21 days out – Full refund.

·  From 21 days to 7 days out – $525 refunded ($100 cancellation fee).

·  From 7 days to 48 hours out – $425 refunded ($200 cancellation fee).

·  From 48 hours out or no show – No refund.
