Required Textbook and Device

No required textbook

Device:

To increase the effectiveness of teaching/learning and student involvement, you are required to answer clicker questions throughout the semester, using either a mobile device (e.g., iPhone, Blackberry Android, iTouch, iPad, laptop PC, notebook, netbook, tablet) or a clicker (available at UWM Book Store). If you decide to use a mobile device, please read the Student ResponseWare Instructions (on D2L). If you decide to use a clicker, please read the Clicker Instructions (on D2L).

***IMPORTANT:

1. If other courses you are taking ONLY allow you to use a clicker, then it’s cheaper to use the same clicker for this course. So, find out the requirements for other courses before deciding what you are going to use for this class.

2. If you are thinking about using a mobile device, please consult your service provider for the cost of using it (e.g., data fee). If you decide to use a mobile device, you will need to subscribe to ResponseWare service. Please follow the link on the instruction sheet to subscribe to the service so that you may get UWM discount.

3. To reduce the cost of owning a clicker, you can get a used clicker at the bookstore and/or sell your clicker back to the bookstore at the end of the semester.
