The Christopher M Page Memorial Scholarship ($3,000) honors the memory of Christopher M Page, a 1992 graduate from Winder-Barrow High School. To be considered for this scholarship, the following information is required:
*Copy of transcript (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
*Autobiography (500 words or less: typed/12 font/double-spaced)
*One letter of recommendation (from a teacher, counselor or administrator)
*Copy of college acceptance letter or other evidence to confirm admission
Applications are available in the CRC-6.204. Completed application and all supporting documents must be received in the CRC by NOON on March 28, 2018. This scholarship is only for Winder-Barrow High School Seniors/Class of 2018.(01.08.2018)
Barrow County Chamber of Commerce/Glen Segars Scholarship (amount: TBA):
For seniors planning to attend college in summer/fall 2018. Other criteria include:
*Extracurricular Activities/Honors/Awards/Community Service
*Attending an accredited 4 year college in the United States
*ACT/SAT Scores / GPA / Class Rank
*Brief paragraph on why you deserve this scholarship

Slaughter Scholarship/Barrow Community Foundation ($1,000): For graduating seniors/class of 2018 who plan to attend college and major in education (YOU MUST BE ENROLLED OR ACCEPTED FOR ENROLLMENT IN AN EDUCATION DEGREE PROGRAM AT AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY). Other requirements include:
*Educational and career goals
*School Achievements
*Community Involvement
*Essay: “Why have you choose education as your college major? If you do not
receive this award, how will you pursue your degree?”

Barrow County Masonic Scholarship: For high school seniors planning to attend a college or technical college in fall of 2018. Criteria will include the following:
·* 500 words or less essay telling why you need this scholarship
·Involvement in church/community events
·* Club/school/sport activities

W.H. Jennings Memorial Scholarship ($500):
Criteria include:
·Must be a WBHS graduating senior (class of 2018)
·Participation in school clubs/activities
·Community involvement, athletic participation and/or fine arts.

Hayden Camp Memorial Rotary Scholarship: will award a $500 scholarship in memory of Haden Camp to a graduating senior to further his/her education at an accredited vocational or technical college. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, effort, outside work, extra-curricular activities which best demonstrate the Rotary Motto of:
“Service Above Self.” Applications are available in the CRC and must be returned by NOON on Friday, April 28, 2018(3.23.18)
The Winder Rotary Club will award a $1,000.00scholarship to a graduating senior to further his/her education at an accredited four yearcollege/university. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, effort, outside work, extra-curricular activities which best demonstrate the Rotary Motto of
“Service Above Self.” Applications are available in the CRC and must be returned by NOON on Friday, April 20, 2018(3.23.18)
Winder Kiwanis Club / B.C. Hill Scholarship: will be awarded to a graduating senior at WBHS in order to further his/her education at an accredited college or technical college. The following criteria is required:

*Brief paragraph on why you are deserving of this award

Mitchell & Crunk, attorneys in Winder and Commerce, Ga, are pleased to offer the Mitchell & Crunk Adoption Scholarship ($500). Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Adoption law and can share a story of their own adoption or of someone they know. Other requirements includes:
*Minimum GPA of 3.0
*Must be enrolled to attend college/fall semester-2018
*Unofficial transcript
*Recommendation letters and/or resumes
*Able to demonstrate merit/need

Winder Woman’s Club Scholarship ($500): will be awarded to a well-rounded senior who serves their community. Other criteria includes:

*Essay describing how you contribute to your community and why you are
deserving of this scholarship (100 words or less--typed or neatly written)

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre Scholarship ( $1,000): will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in fine arts (drama, music, art, etc). Other criteria for this scholarship includes:

*Fine Arts Teacher Recommendation Form

Marine Corps of Athens, GA- $1,000 Scholarship (for seniors/class of 2018): Must write an ESSAY of not more than 600 words on the following subject:
“Responsibilities and duties of an American citizen”
Other documentation includes:
*official high school transcript (including GPA)
*ACT/SAT Scores (copy of score report)
*Extracurricular Activities
*Community Service
*Must be graduating from a high school in any of the following counties: Clarke,
Oconee, Madison Oglethorpe, Barrow and Jackson.

The Winder-Barrow High School Student Council Scholarship Essay Competition: ($500.00 for graduating seniors/Class of 2018).The competition is comprised of writing an essay that completely answers the following question:
“ Why are leadership skills necessary during and after high school, and how being a leader can help you accomplish your future goals?”
Your essay must also:
*Be original (and relates to the above question)
*Have no major grammatical errors
*Share your personality
*Well organized
