REQUEST FOR SEALED PROPOSAL
CODING COMPANY
ADDENDUM NO. 1
In accordance with information provided in the Request for Proposal, all addendums are posted on the Nation’s bid website www.cherokeebids.org; BID ID 11279
The following requests for clarification were received by the deadline stipulated in the RFP. Please see the following information.
· 500 chart backlog—how many charts are IP and how many are Day Surgery? An estimate is fine.
450 inpatient/50 day surgery
· We are not an Indian-owned company. I went on the TERO website and found no requirements as indicated at the bottom of page 3 of your RFP. What would be the requirements and fees if selected as a non-Indian owned company?
There will be no TERO fees for this project. The reason: it will be data entry completed offsite.
· Would the 500 charts be submitted all at once and have a turn-around time of 10 days, or would they be sent over a period of days or weeks?
Over 2 month period
· Once selected, does the potential exist to get additional charts to code or is this a one-time only project?
Potential does exist for additional charts
· What is the RPMS/Netterm system?
This is the health information system used by Cherokee Nation. Please do not put in bid if not familiar with this system.
· Will the decision committee and your organization accept a blended shore coding approach where coding production is performed offshore and compliance, and quality control is performed in the US?
No blended shore coding will be accepted.
· What is the total amount of charts that need to be coded? Is the total that needs to be coded approximately 500 In-patient/Day Surgery visits only?
At this time 500 but there is potential for this to be increased.
· Are there any other coding needs beyond the 500 charts? Is this an on-going agreement?
There is no guarantee.
