CALL TO ORDER
Karen Zopf, acting Chair, called the meeting to order at 2:20 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion (I) was made by Ms. Pirrung seconded by Ms. Dubick and unanimously carried by the Board to approve the minutes of the January 28, 2013 meeting as submitted.
CONTINUING EDUCATION COMMITTEE REPORT
The Board approved the following Course(s):

The Board denied "Brand Distinction and Values Based Design" because
marketing and brand development are not acceptable for continuing education credit. The course sponsor is ASID and the course number is 101304.
COMPLAINT COMMITTEE
13-10-01 Closed. License surrendered.
CORRESPONDENCE
A Press Release was received from NCIDQ naming Dr. Carol Williams-Nickelson as its new Director. This was for the Board's information.

NEW BUSINESS
Joint Chairs Meeting
The Joint Chairs meeting was held on March 14, 2013 . The special fund was again discussed. The fees need to be raised because the special fund balance is declining. In the first year the fee will be $76.50 and in the second year the fee will be $86.00. Motion (II) was made by Ms. Zopf. seconded by Ms. Pirrung, and unanimously carried by the board to approve the raising of the license fee.
OLD BUSINESS
Ms. Zopf stated that she and Ms. Portnoy met with Mr. Dean Ackers, President of the Morgan State University. Ms. Zopf said that she and Ms. Portnoy thought that the meeting was very fruitful. She stated that Morgan State University is very interested in sponsoring an interior design program. They already have a person on staff who is an interior designer. It was also stated that Morgan's Board of Regents would have to approve the new program and there would be a 10 year roll out.

As of April 22, 2013, the number of currently certified interior designers is 322.

There being no further business, motion (III) was made by Ms. Pirrung seconded by Ms. Dubick, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 2:50 p.m.
