Spring 2012 Mobile Learning Student Transition And Enrichment Program
Northern And Central California Workshop Calendar
The Junior Blind of America is proud to present the Mobile Learning Student Transition And Enrichment Program workshop calendar for Northern and Central California for spring 2012.
Junior Blind's Student Transition & Enrichment Program (STEP) is designed to proactively assist teens and young adults to identify areas of career interest and successfully transition to college or the workforce. In addition to learning skills for independent living, students develop work-readiness skills through group seminars and workshops in their area. Using community centers, auditoriums, libraries and popular attractions as our learning environment, students are armed with knowledge and essential hands on learning activities that ultimately prepare them for the world of college, work and overall wellness.
Teen and young adult individuals wishing to participate will need to have an active case with the Department of Rehabilitation and a referral will need to be made by way of the Rehabilitation counselor. If you need additional information about Rehabilitation services please visit and or call us for guidance at 888.400-4522x460.
In addition to this Spring workshop listing, the Junior Blind will be hosting a series of Open Houses in Northern and Central California to introduce these program offerings. Educators, family and community members wishing to have an Open House and or high school visit to introduce our mobile program in their area are encouraged to contact Richard Rueda, Director of Transition Services at 888.400.4522x460 or email .
