HOW TO ORDER YOUR COPY OF
These five studies integrate reflection on the lectionary’s Sunday gospel readings with the experience of work, including paid work, work in the home, and voluntary work. Each study concludes with a simple ritual and prayer. Throughout the series you are invited to deepen your awareness of how your life has been formed by your work, especially by your paid work.
Written by Rev. John Bottomley for the Creative Ministries Network Congregation, these studies are published by the Congregation for its mission to work program.
“John Bottomley is one of the most creative thinkers on work in the Australian church. His thinking has been forged communallyin the fire of the Creative Ministries Network and in confrontation with the dark underside of today's workplace, where ill-health, injury and death lurk. These Lentenstudies are pithy, meditative, using silence and ritual to get beyond the merely rational. They are carefully curated to facilitate an encounter with God at work. They are not just to be dipped into, but dwelt in, as we move in mission to work.
