- Documents should be preferable in PDF, but MS WORD is also accepted;

- Care must be taken that all fonts are embedded in the converted PDF file;

- Figures and graphs should be of high resolution, a low quality JPG format should be avoided;

- Page size should be A4;

- Format is given in Annex IV;

- Posters are accepted also in PowerPoint.

The poster presentations have to be brought to TECO-2006 by the authors themselves. They should not exceed 4 pages with a maximum size of A3 (double size of A4, see Annex IV) each.

In Annex II, information is provided on local arrangements regarding TECO 2006. Participants are invited to send the Registration Form (Annex III) to the WMO Secretariat not later than 31 August 2006.

I should like to inform you that only very limited financial resources are available to WMO to support participants. A committee will be established to consider the requests for financial assistance and give priority to authors from developing countries whose papers have been selected for oral presentation. You may note that a request for financial support has to be submitted by the Permanent Representative of your country with WMO and will be considered within available resources.

I look forward to seeing you at TECO-2006.

Yours sincerely,
