Background:

The school is a teaching institution of preschool, primary and high levels located in La Garita Nueva, Santa Cruz, Guanacaste. For his/her part one of the parents will be the legal representative of the indicated minor who is the student of THE SCHOOL.

FIRST: In this act THE SCHOOL accepts the students into the educational process that follows the National plan for Education, conforming to the Education law number 2160 of September 25, 1957.

SECOND: THE SCHOOL is committed to facilitate access to information required by THE PARENT about the education process of the student, in order to promote his participation in the training and education of the student.

THIRD: THE SCHOOL must inform THE PARENT about the goals, limitations, evaluation system and other educational issues regarding the student during the time enrolled in the school.

FORTH: During the presence of the student, the school is committed to adopt all the necessary methods of security to protect the personal, psychic and physical integrity of the student.

FIFTH: The parent must know the plan of study, the programs and educational services offered by THE SCHOOL, also the evaluation process, promotion, order and discipline that will govern the teaching and learning process during the students attendance at THE SCHOOL. In addition, the parent must be familiar with the internal discipline regulations of THE SCHOOL, to which he will comply together with the student.

SIXTH: THE PARENT authorizes in this act the student, to participate in all the official activities and programs that have been developed for educational and recreational purposes by THE SCHOOL.

SEVENTH: THE PARENT promises, during the presence of the student in THE SCHOOL, to make TEN MONTHLY PAYMENTS starting from September to June, and make the entry fee payment upon requested by THE SCHOOL.

EIGHTH: The monthly payments indicated must be made within the first five days of each month in the school bank account.

NINTH: The monthly amount to be paid by the PARENT shall be penalized according to the following: After the 15th of each month a penalty of 3% of the monthly amount: after the 20th of each month the fine will be 10%; and after the 30th the fine will be 15%.

TENTH: The suspension of educational services will occur after the second warning of late payment and after review for compliance with the DECRETRO EJECUTIVO 24017- MEP, artículo 22. The PARENT will be notified when the trimester has concluded.

ELEVENTH: Pursuant to the provisions of artículo 438 del Código Procesal Civil, both contracting parties agree to give to this private document Enforcement Order Title. For this purpose the PARENT recognizes and gives up its domicile, demands of payment and in case of eventual execution, will dispatch the monthly payment amounts plus the corresponding supplemental amounts plus fifty percent, by law.

TWELFTH: The valid period of this contract is one year beginning with the signatures of both parties. However, the present contract will be renewed automatically if, by the expiration date, neither of the parties has communicated to the other, the desire to terminate, in which case it will be renewed for another year.

THIRTEENTH: Either of the parties can terminate the present contract at any time by notifying the other party at least two months in advance and in the case of the PARENT, he/she must be up to date on payments.
