(2) hEF1α vectors are for long term retrograde studies. I have recently made an improvement in my packaging protocol that increases the titers of the retrograde vectors 3-to-4-fold. As I shift the viruses I offer as aliquots to the new protocol , I will give them the designation “HT”.

(3) For first time orders of any of the optogenetic viruses, including those containing IRES-cre or IRE-flpo, laboratory PIs please contact Dr. Karl Deisseroth and Charu Ramakrishnan for an MTA

(4) Certaincre-and flpo-dependent AAV viruses that can be used in combination with my retrograde HSV viruses may be requested directly from Dr. Karl Deisseroth and Charu Ramakrishnan The PI of your lab should make that request, and an MTA will be necessary. Information is available at this site:
