DELIVERANCE AND DOMINION FOR SATAN’S CAPTIVES

Satan is a terrible taskmaster who does let go his captives (Isaiah 14:16,17). The one that is about to be set free will usually have his burden increased (Exodus 5:1-23). It is always darkest before dawn. There is always a silver lining behind the cloud. The dark and ominous cloud of today may be pregnant with tomorrow’s rain. Spiritually things may seem to increase in difficulty just before a mighty deliverance. It is the devil’s way of fighting for the last chance to retain his captive and not let go.

Never be content to remain in Satan’s captivity. Deliverance and dominion are available in Christ. Your bounds can be looosed!

RESIST THE DEVIL

1 Peter 5:8,9; James 4:7; 1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Timothy 4:7; Ephesians 6:16,17; Matthew 18:18; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

The devil is never a friend. He is man’s archenemy. The devil is aggressive and never comes on a mission of peace. He comes to wage war against the believer and if possible to put him in captivity.

The Bible enjoins us to resist the devil and to do it steadfastly in faith (1 Peter 5:8,9; James 4:7). Resistance and fighting is the only language that the devil understands. He will flee at the resistance of faith.

Don’t run away from the devil, fight the good fight of faith, quench his fiery darts with your shield of faith, use your sword of the Spirit against him, bind him I the name of Jesus (1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Timothy 4:7; Ephesians 6:16,17; Matthew 18:18; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27).

REBUKE THE DEVOURER

Revelation 12:3,4; 1 Peter 5:8,9; Job 1:7-19; 2:1-7; Zechariah 3:1,2; Jude 9; Isaiah 59:19; Matthew 16:23; 4:10,11.

The devil as the great red dragon prowls waiting to devour (Revelation 12:3,4). He is roaming about the streets, pouncing up and down the world seeking whom to devour (1 Peter 5:8,9; Job 1:7-19; 2:1-7).

God has promised to rebuke the devourer for our sake (Malachi 3:11) and this will be accomplished when our obedience is complete and full (2 Corinthians 10:6).

We can also rebuke the devourer in the name of the Lord (Zechariah 3:1,2; Jude 9). When the enemy comes like a flood to devour, rebuke him and raise up the standard of the Holy Ghost against him (Isaiah 59:19). Get thee behind me Satan is the appropriate treatment for the devil (Matthew 16:23; 4:10,11). Don’t let the devil devour your peace or your increase. Rebuke that deadly devourer.

REJECT THE DECEIVER

Revelation 12:9; 20:3; Genesis 3:1-19; 25:30-34; Hebrews 12:16,17; Judges 16:1-21; 2 Samuel 11:1-27; 12:1-14; 1 Samuel 15:21-24; 1 Kings 22:12,23,28.

One of the weapons that the devil uses against people is falsehood. The devil is called the deceiver that deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9; 20:3).

He deceived Eve with the promise of insight that never materialized (Genesis 3:1-19). He deceived Samson into thinking that the anointing will always flow even if he goes into immorality (Judges 16:1-21). He deceived David into thinking that he can effectively cover up his sins (2 Samuel 11:1-27; 12:1-14). He deceived Saul into thinking that he could substitute sacrifice for obedience and bribe God with bleeting rams (1 Samuel 15:21-24). He deceived Esau into thinking that he will not suffer any personal loss by exchanging his birthright for a mess of pottage (Genesis 25:30-34; Hebrews 12:16,17). He deceived Ahab with the promise of victory though he knew Ahab’s defeat and end was in sight (1 Kings 22:12,23,28).

The believer should ALWAYS reject the deceiver together wit his bundle of lies, package of falsehood and doses of half-truths.

RECEIVE YOUR DELIVERANCE

Isaiah 61:1-3; 10:27; Luke 4:18-21; Acts 10:38; Psalm 107:20; 126:1-4; 14:7; 53:6; 85:1; Job 42:10; Malachi 3:11

Christ came to set the captives free. There is no reason for you to remain in your bondage a minute longer (Isaiah 61:1-3; 10:27; Luke 4:18-21; Acts 10:38; Psalm 107:20). The Lord can turn your captivity and release you like a bird out of the snare of the fowler (Psalm 126:1-4; 14:7; 53:6; 85:1; Job 42:10).

The Lord is ready to rebuke that terrible devourer for your sake (Malachi 3:11; Jude 9; Zechariah 3:1,2). Enjoy the provision of the Lord for your life and bask in an atmosphere of freedom. Let the satanic chains fall off and walk into the glorious liberty of the Lord. Refuse to be Satan’s captive no longer.

RIDE IN DOMINION

Galatians 5:1; 2 Corinthians 2:14; John 8:32,36; Romans 8:37; 1 John 5:4; Numbers 23:23; Isaiah 54:14-17; Psalm 23:5.

Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free (Galatians 5:1). Never allow yourself to be brought back into satanic bondage. Ride on in your dominion.

Christ causes the believer to triumph EVERYWHERE and EVERYTIME. Never settle for less (2 Corinthians 2:14). If the truth that you know has set you free and the Son of God has made you free, refuse to be bound (John 8:32,36).

Whatever the problems and challenges of life, we are more than conquerors for our faith overcomes the world (Romans 8:37; 1 John 5:4).

There is no enchantment against you and no divination will work in your life (Numbers 23:23). The Lord has already prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies, enjoy that provision to the full (Psalm 23:5). There is no weapon fashioned against you that shall prosper (Isaiah 54:14-17).
