Terms and Conditions (Please return with application)

  • The scheme will provide your child with 30 one to one lessons each academic year, (at the price of £14 per lesson). We aim for 10 lessons per term.
  • Any lessons missed through staff illness will be made up. This will be done either during the present term or the following one.
  • When on occasion your child has to miss a lesson a credit or refund can only be given if you notify us, in writing, giving 7 days notice. All communication must be by email copying in
  • If a student cannot attend a music lesson at their designated time due to Year KS4 or sixth form CAT’s or examinations, they will need to give at least one weeks’ notice. Notice should be given by email/direct communication with their music teacher to ask if it is possible to swap their time with another student the following week. Please note this may not always be possible. It is the student/parent responsibility to ensure that they have communicated fully in advance. If this is not undertaken, no refund is eligible and lessons will not be expected to be made up.
  • Students’ lessons will be posted on the notice board in the music block and will give a terms advanced notice of lessons. Students should check the time of their lessons on the morning they are due to have one as they could be subject to change. Please also check for changes at each half term.
  • If your child misses 2 or 3 lessons consecutively you will be sent a letter notifying you of your child’s absence. If the absence continues we reserve the right to remove the student from the timetable and reallocate the lesson slot to someone else. In this case you will still have to pay for lessons for the remainder of the half term.
  • We will continue to timetable lessons for your child each term until you give half a terms written notice to the school address or by email to
  • If you discontinue lesson payment, for any reason, lessons will be stopped until the payment resumes. If payment does not resume you will be billed for lessons up to the end of the current half term.
  • You must ensure that all your contact details are up to date, especially email due to the nature of our communication.
  • All students participating in the scheme will be encouraged to join a free of charge co- curricular group. Details of all groups can be found on the school website including FAQ’s
  • Upon receipt of your application, you will receive a payment form which you will need to complete before lessons can be timetabled and commence.
