Global Awareness: Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the interrelatedness of local, global, international, and intercultural issues, trends, and systems. / Assessment Activity/Artifact:In small groups, students will orally examine multiple artworkson site and describe the global and interculturally specific visual concepts ie. artelements and design principles that affect the artistic composition.
Evaluation Process:
This group’soral presentation will be evaluated based on accuracy and the depth of understanding of the global awareness.
A 3-point rubric will be used (e.g., 1=below average; 2=average; 3=outstanding.
Minimum Criteria for Success:
1. Groups will require a 2 or better performance out of 3 for their oral presentations.

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the interrelatedness of global and intercultural contexts that are present in multiple artworks on site. (e.g.,the Fortune Teller by Carravaggio1571-1610)

Global Perspective: Students will be able to conduct a multi-perspective analysis of local, global, international, and intercultural problems. / Assessment Activity/Artifact:In small groups, students will orally analyze and interpret multiple artworks within the context of and the various artists’ presumed intent and cultural or theoretical perspectives on the artworks.

This written reflection will be evaluated based on demonstration ofinformed attitudes and willingness to think globally in their learning. A 3-point rubric will be used (e.g., 1=below average; 2=average; 3=outstanding.
