Scouting is provided by volunteers and some level of involvement is expected from the young people's families. Also Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are expected to attend 2 parades a year and offer time to community events to gain their Chief Scout Awards. Families are strongly encouraged to help at least once a year on maintenance/work days and take on a short task once a year. This keeps subs down but more importantly, it is the only way we can continue with a small pool of regular volunteers. Subs are £144 a year payable in 12 monthly instalments. Camps and extra activities incur extra costs.
