Satellite Dish Policy and Rules

There is already a classic cable connection in each apartment and it is acceptable to use a roof top TV anteena, however

if you desire a satellite dish installed at your apartment, you must adhere to the following rules and regulations, established by

The Flatonia Housing Authority. These rules will be adhered to and will not, under any circumstances, be broken or it will

be cause for termination of your lease.

1. There will be a $50.00 deposit/damage fee to install a satellite dish, along with the metal pole(if applicable). Your deposit

will be refunded, less any damages to the unit when the dish was installed/removed. If the satellite dish has not been

removed within five (5) days from the date you move from the unit, the satellite dish then remains the property of the

Housing Authority and the $50.00 deposit will be kept for removal.

2. If the satellite dish is disconnected for non payment and you can no longer afford the service, then the satellite dish

must be removed by you.

3. If the resident has a satellite dish installed without prior approval from the Housing Authority director, it will be cause

for lease termination.

4. The dish must not be larger than three feet three inches across the widest point. Under no circumstances may a resident

consider installing giant satellite dishes.

5. Dishes may be installed on stand-alone metal poles or on the siding portion of the unit exterior or other area as

approval by the executive director.

6. Satellite dishes may not be installed in ways that damage the units or buildings. No holes drilled in railings or exterior

walls. Mounting satellite dishes in this way harms building weather-proofing and poses a risk to electricial wiring,

water pipes, etc. Also, satellite dishes may not be mounted on exterior walls, in common areas, on trees, stairwells,

or at any other location other than the designated area, and as agreed upon by the Housing Authority Director.

7. Satellite dishes may not be installed in ways that would enable them to fall on people. Satellite dishes must be

mounted securely. No mounting on windows or on window frames.

8. Residents must not install satellite dishes themselves. Residents must have satellite dishes installed professionally

by a dish service provider. The maintenance department does not install nor maintain satellite dishes.

9. The dish is to be removed when the resident vacates the premises. The satellite dish and or metal pole must be

removed in its entirety. If a metal pole was used, the hole must be filled in to prevent erosion.

10. Not under any circumstances will the Authority perform excessive tree trimming for the purpose of satillite dish installation.

I,______have read this entire Policy and Rules. I agree and understand the terms prescribed

above and will adhere to them.

I will not attempt to install or have satillite dish installed without the consent and direction of the Flatonia Housing

Authority Director.
