- Only LW&SUPC Ltd Club Members are allowed to sail on King Lears Lake.
- Buoyancy aids are recommended for all users. Experienced LW&SUPC Ltd Club Members can wear harnesses in lieu of a buoyancy aid at their own risk.
- All Windsurf Rigs should be equipped with Mast Foot Protectors.
- All sailors must wear at least a short or full wetsuit designed to mitigate the effects of cold and suitable foot wear ie Trainers and/or Wet Suit Boots.
- Sailors is to ensure their equipment is checked prior to use (windsurf rig board and all components) and are maintained in a safe working order, this includes any LW&SUPC Ltd Club Equipment being used by the sailor.
- Club Members are advised to have a friend or family members on the lakeside whilst windsurfing or stand up paddle boarding.

Temporary Club Members on Open Days Injury arising from the use of LW&SUPC Ltd and Member windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding Equipment / Injury and Drowning / Participants / M /
- Temporary Club Members must complete a "Consent Form" confirming that they understand the risks associated with Windsurfing and/or Stand Up Paddle Boarding at the King Lears Lake.
- Temporary Club Members shall wear buoyancy aids properly fixed and secured by an LW&SUPC Ltd Club Member.
- Temporary Club Members should only use Windsurf Rigs equipped with Mast Foot Protectors.
- Temporary Club Members must be wearing at least a short or full wetsuit designed to mitigate the effects of cold and suitable foot wear ie trainers and/or wet suit boots.
- Temporary Club members must be assessed/approved by a Club Official or Club Member and must use Windsurf or SUP Equipment recommended to be suitable for their ability ie board and sail size.
- Temporary Club Members under the age 18 years old must be supervised at all times jointly by their Legal Guardian and an LW&SUPC Ltd Club Member.
- An Engine Powered Rescue Craft operated by PB2 Trained Operators shall be available on the Lake.
Windsurfing or Stand up Paddle Boarding Club Members Falling into water. / Drowning. / Participants / M /
- When sailing a Windsurf or SUP board all participants (other than experienced LW&SUPC Ltd Club Members who must then wear a harness and accept the risks associated with not wearing a buoyancy aid) must wear buoyancy aides.
- Associate Membersunder the age 0f 18 years old must be supervised at all times by their Legal Guardian.
- All participants must be wearing at least a short or full wetsuit designed to mitigate the effects of cold.
- Club Members are strongly advised to have a friend or family members on the lakeside whilst windsurfing or stand up paddle boarding.
- A boat powered either by oars or engine must be available at all times at the launching area to enable a rescue. An engine powered boat must always be operated by a PB2 Certified Operator.
- A boat powered by oars shall be in working order in the Club Cabin.

Swimming or Falling into water. / Weil’s Disease (Leptospirosis) / Participants / L /
- General swimming by LW&SUPC Ltd Club Members and Temporary Members is strictly forbidden.
- Club Members and Temporary Members are advised not to windsurf and/or stand up paddle board with open wounds or to ensure that such minor wounds are covered appropriately ie water proof plaster.
- Members and Visitors are advised to avoid putting their hands near their nose and mouth and to thoroughly wash hands before eating.
- Members and Visitors are referred to the Leptspirosis Pink Card held in the slot on the Cabin Door for Guidance.
- Members and Visitors are advised of the potential symptoms which can occur between 2-30 days ie high temperature, headaches, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, coughing, conjunctivitis and to seek medical advice / treatment if in doubt.
Swimming or Falling into Water. Swallowing lake water or breathing in water droplets. / Blue-Green Algae Bloom or Foam / Participants / L /
- General swimming by Club Members and Temporary Members is strictly forbidden.
- Club Members and Temporary Members are advised, as far as is practicable, not to drink or swallow lake water or to breathe in water droplets particularly at the lake edges or stagnant areas of the lake whilst windsurfing and/or stand up paddle boarding.
- Club Members and Temporary Members are advised to avoid putting their hands near their nose and mouth and to thoroughly wash hands before eating.
- Members are advised that potential symptoms ie skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, fever and headaches. Occasionally symptoms can be more serious ie liver and brain damage. Noting that children are at higher risk due to their lower body weight.

- Steering(driving) the powered dingy or rib should never be undertaken when acting as Safety or Rescue Crew.
- Buoyancy aids or life jackets must be worn by all occupants at all times.
- Oars should be used unless a Power Boat PB2 Training Certificate is held by the boat operator.
- The boat should be properly secured or held, as far as is practicable, when occupants enter or exit from land.
- The boat should not be left unattended when in the water.
Risk to other users of the Kings Lear Lake / Injury Lake Users hit by Windsurf or SUP Board or Falling/Flying Windsurf Mast/Sail / Other Users / M / King Lears Lake Public:
- Windsurfing Sail/Rigs caught by gusting wind. Club Members shall ensure that all Windsurfing Sails/Rigs are properly held, stored or secured in or around the lake side launching area.
- Windsurfers and Stand Up Paddle Boarders should call out to warn the swimmer/s and shall, if possible, not go nearer than ten board lengths of a swimmer.
- Windsurfers and Stand Up Paddle Boarders should not approach dogs swimming in the lake
- Windsurfers and Stand Up Paddle Boarders should, if possible, not go nearer than ten board lengths of a Fisherman
- Windsurfers and Stand Up Paddle Boarders should not approach the Model Boat Launching Area on Model Boat Club Days and avoid getting close to Model Boats operating in the middle of the lake.
- All Club Members shall prove when joining and renewing membership that they are in possession of Public Liability £2m.

- Food bought by and on behalf of the LW&SUPC Ltd must be stored in sealed containers.
- All members of the LW&SUPC Ltd that prepare food must ensure that they have washed their hand properly before handling raw or cooked food.
- All Club Members, New Members and Family shall be advised of the need to wash hands prior to eating food.
- All food prepared and served by the club members is for the benefit of and at the risk of club members and potential club members. Food must not be served to members of the public.
- A Toilet and Wash Hand Basin provided with water and soap shall be provided within the LW&SUPC Ltd Cabin at all times.

- The Club Cabin is equipped with a fully functioning chemical toilet and wash hand basin.
- Club Officials are required to check the chemical toilet and contact the Park Warden to empty the chemical toilet as necessary.
- Club Officials are required to ensure that toilet and wash hand basin is appropriately clean and to arrange for cleaning as necessary.
- All Club Members are required to inspect the toilet and wash hand basin facilities at every visit and to replenish as necessary:-
