Cone Health Group Clinical Placement Request Instructions (SharePoint)
Step 1. Access / create Microsoft Office 360 SharePoint account.
Step 2 Click on the link sent in the initial invitation to the SharePoint Group Clinical Placement
Step 3. Gather all requests. You can download a copy of the Master Schedule to use as a worksheet.
Step 4. Transpose requests to the Master Schedule
REQUIRED FORMAT
School / Program (EMS. ST, NA, PN) or nursing Level (ADN 1st, 2nd, BSN Jr., Sr.) / Timeframe / Dates
Example: UNCH / Jr / 7a-3p /10.10 – 12.12 orCHCC / EMS / 7a-3p / 10.10 – 12.12
- Do not combine two groups into one timeframe; list each group separately.
- Round times to the hour, for example write 0630 or 0645 as 7a.
GUIDELINES
- Only the Education Partner (or one designated person from the school) is permitted to transcribe the requests to the Master Schedule.
- Non-adherence to the required format will cause delays or omissions.
- Do not change any of the cell properties or any of the information cells.
- Allow for 1 hour between group times and 2 days between group dates
- Use Alt-Enter to create a new line in a cell. Up to 4 requests, separated by can be made in one cell.
- Do not alter other requests that are already posted.
- Master Schedule is Real Time. A cell will be highlighted when someone else is working in it. Go to another cell and come back when that cell is no longer highlighted.
- If a change is inadvertently made and you cannot fix it, contact . All versions are recorded for corrections if needed.
- THIS IS NOT A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE PROCESS. ALL requests will be evaluated by Staff Education prior to final assignment. If there is already a request in a cell for the dates and times you want:
- Resolve conflicts by changing your request to a different day, time, date or department.
- Seek resolutions to conflicts by collaborating with other Education Partners.
- If you are not able to resolve the conflict, enter your request below the existing one.
DO NOT EDIT THE OTHER REQUEST.
- Considerations for unresolved conflicts are: In-county, state schools, Instructor history on department, program level and number of students. Unresolved conflicts may cause a delay in request processing.
- Education Partners are encouraged to review the Master Schedule prior to the close date.
- Drop / Add Session – As requested, the Master Schedule will be re-opened to accommodate only minimal additional requests / deletions and changes. Changes may include: release of departments, changes in timeframes / dates / student level. Changes cannot conflict with what has already been approved. Requesting additional sites is not encouraged. A maximum of no more than two additional site requests may be considered. Any additional requests / deletions and changes must be made in RED.
