AUDITION APPLICATION: Please bring along a recent photograph to be included with your audition application. This can be a computer printout, so don’t go to any expense to have photo’s taken. Please note that we may video the audition process for the production team to look back on to assist with the casting process.
SINGING: Please sing a song (not from the show but ideally from a similar genre) that showcases your vocal ability. As you may not get to sing the entire song due to time constraints, please limit to one verse and chorus and choose the part of the song that showcases the best part of the song to suit your vocal range. You must provide sheet music in the correct key for you. Take the time to tell the pianist provided where you would like to start from and how you would like the song to be played. Our pianist will do the best they can for you.
READINGS: You will be required to do a reading from the script for the role you are auditioning for. If you are auditioning for multiple roles, you may be asked to read for only one, but you will be considered for all other roles you are auditioning for. All Minor roles will be cast from the ensemble, and we are looking for a mixed group of boys and girls of various ages to fill those roles.
DANCE / MOVEMENT: You will be given movement to learn during your audition time slot. Please make sure that you are wearing appropriate clothing and shoes for the dance audition. If you have tap dancing experience, please also bring along your tap shoes to your audition. Tapping is not a prerequisite to being cast in the dance routines.
