This Award is for club activities between July 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018.
Please follow all submission procedures and instructions, and use the District form provided for your club-submissions. Be sure to briefly describe each activity and also include date of event, number of members and others that participated with the number of hours and financial investment the club and/or members made. This is the same level of event details as required in club submissions for Award of Excellence. Then please total your club points at the end of the form. No late submissions will be accepted.
(1) Sponsor a youth ethics forum/workshop. This may include having one of your Rotarian-members be a presenter at a youth forum/workshop teaching ethics. (10 points)
(2) Sponsor or co-sponsor an ethics forum/workshop for adult professionals using the Rotary Four-Way Test and Motto as the basis for course content. (10 points)
(3) Award at least one scholarship to a local student entering in a post-high school vocational (as opposed to academic) skills program (10 points)
***Extra Credit Points: One (1) point for each scholarship of this nature the club awards.
(4) Devote club-meeting time to classification talks at least twice a year (10 points)
(5) Select and honor a non-Rotarian community citizen of the year (15 points)
(6) Hold a business networking social mixer at least annually (10 points)
***Extra Credit Points: One (1) point for each additional such event the club sponsors.
(7) Provide "Four Way Test" materials (cards or plaques) to all members and each new member for use or display in the workplace (10 points)
(8) Have a minimum of four presentations to the club during the year by non-Rotarian specially addressing the scope of background, specifics and scope of requirements in their industry/vocational area and how they recruit for hiring talent. Clubs are encouraged to include a blend of business, professional and/or trade people to do so. (15 points)
(9) Join and actively participate in the local Chamber of Commerce or equivalent organization (10 points)
(10) Sponsor or participate in a Career Day &/or Vocational Talks offered in/by club’s area schools. (10 points to sponsor & participate; 5 points if only participated)
***Extra Credit Points: One (1) point for each additional school vocational program in which the club sponsors or participates.
