Evaluation/Data Specialist

Full Position Title: Evaluation/Data Manager (EDM)

Job Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time, Part-year

Department: Marriage Works Ohio

Reports to: SRAE Program Manager

Supervises: No direct reports

I.  Role

The Evaluation/Data Manager is responsible for all grant data and curriculum evaluation efforts. The EDM will work closely with the third-party evaluator to develop instruments and make programmatic changes based on the interpretation of the analyzed data in order to improve programming and overcome barriers to participation and achieving outcome goals.

II.  Responsibilities

A.  Assist in developing appropriate student evaluation tool for the Go for the Gold program.

B.  Ensure all preparation required for surveys is conducted prior to scheduled survey date.

C.  Communicate with host sites to determine if they have online capability, if ENLC has to provide hand held devices, or if paper surveys are needed.

D.  Prepare Teacher’s Packets and other necessary items prior to scheduled survey date.

E.  Communicate with the host teacher or site, as needed.

F.  Travel to host sites to administer pre/post-surveys.

G.  Administer pre/post-surveys before and after 9-day Go for the Gold curriculum delivery.

H.  Treat all survey data confidentially.

I.  Oversee all data collection, analysis and dissemination, outputs, outcomes and other programmatic activities for ENLC’s SRAE programs.

J.  Oversee the set up forms and pre/post-surveys required to establish, measure and report on outcomes, ensuring forms support the Logic Model and Action Plan required to meet granting agency standards.

K.  Ensure proper and timely data collection efforts in collaboration with the third-party evaluator.

L.  Oversee accurate composition and compilation of reports as required to include: End of Month reports, End of Class reports, Quarterly, and Semi-Annual evaluations, as well as Special Reviews.

M.  Maintaining the database system, including data entry, storage and retrieval to maximize internal and external resources, where applicable, ensuring data entry is up to date and numbers accurately reflect class numbers.

N.  The development of all grant required report and reports requested by DMWO. In collaboration with SRAEPM and outside Evaluation help (as needed), compile reports on a routine basis, (to be specified at a later date), collating and organizing data into concise and manageable reports.

O.  Attend all monthly departmental meetings.

III.  Other Associated Responsibilities:

1.  Review and comply with program provisions, goals, etc. of Marriage Works.

2.  Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Marriage Works as needed to complete administrative tasks regarding data information.

3.  Other administrative duties in support of MWO as assigned.

5. Attend scheduled Marriage MWO team meetings.

6. Attend relevant seminars for ongoing training.

7.  Annually review position and perform goal setting in preparation for evaluation.

8.  Attend ENLC staff meetings, if requested.

IV.  Qualifications:

·  Ability to respect the dictates of the funding source for this position (federal funding), which prevents using funds for inherently religious activities.

·  Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

·  Detail-oriented with analysis skills and data collection.

·  Ability to identify problems and to formulate effective solutions.

·  Ability to work with a team and get all participants to work together.

·  Strong personal motivation, initiative, sense of responsibility.

·  Proficiency with Computer, Internet and Microsoft Office Suite

·  Strong writing ability.

·  Organizational ability with ability to multi-task.

·  A servant’s attitude with the ability to understand how all tasks impact the agency.

·  Licensed driver with access to reliable transportation. Driving to and from various locations may be required.

V.  Time Commitment

This position is a 40 hour/week position for 42 weeks of the year with 10 weeks off over the summer. 100% of work hours will be spent on this SRAE grant project.
