ajc.com launches free classifieds site ajcexchange.com
Provides users with a worry-free online shopping experience
Atlanta (March 18, 2009) – The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta’s premier provider of digital, print and direct marketing solutions, is redefining its classifieds Web site with the launch of ajcexchange.com.
On ajcexchange.com users can post free listings for cars, homes, pets and other merchandise, post community events, and share those listings through various online social networks.
ajcexchange replaces ajcclassifieds.com, ajc.com’s previous classifieds site. All ads currently in ajcclassifieds.com will be merged into ajcexchange.com. In addition, any ads placed in the print classified section will receive additional distribution on ajcexchange.
“The launch of ajcexchange.com is an important milestone in the evolution of our online classifieds business,” said Les Psalmonds, Director, Online Classified Operations. “ajcexchange is focused uniquely on serving metro Atlanta, providing buyers and sellers a safe, fun and easy marketplace to engage with other members of their community.”
These enhanced features include:
· Free: All basic classified ads are free, and there’s no limit to the quantity of ads that users can post.
· Social networking: Users can utilize the Share this Listing feature to post their ajcexchange ad on their Facebook profile or other social networking sites.
· Safety: Users can post listings immediately, but all postings are reviewed for fraudulent and invalid content. In addition, sellers are protected from having their information distributed unless they choose to share.
· Personal customer service: ajcexchange is a locally based classifieds site, and customer service is available via email or phone to assist users during business hours.
· View recent postings: Users will also be able to see the most recent listings under the First Dibs feature.
