RE: SEAI INTERACTIVE JUNIORPRIMARY SCHOOLS ENERGY WORKSHOPS

Dear Teacher,

Please find below a booking form for the SEAI Guzzler workshops. The workshops are part of SEAI’s programme of events for primary schools and are free of charge for pupils in Senior Infants, First and Second Classes. The workshops programme is being managed by An Taisce Green-Schools.

Each workshop will last approximately 45minutes and we can offer 3 sessions per school: 09.30hrs, 11.00hrs and 12.15hrs (these times can be adjusted around your school breaks). There is a maximum limit of one class or 30 pupils per workshop. An expert facilitator will guide the pupils through a specially designed workshop, which uses active learning methodology in line with the SESE curriculum. The workshop covers the topic of energy conservation and introduces this younger age group to the simple actions that we, as individuals, can take to reduce the amount of energy we use.

In order to maximise our resources we run 3 workshops per day, please ensure that you have 3 classes interested in participating in the workshop prior to filling out this form.

If you are interested in a SEAI facilitator visiting your school and can meet the requirements please fill out the booking form and return to the below address,outlining your preferred days. You will then be contacted by an appointed facilitator who will finalise times, dates and materials for your workshops.

In advance of the workshops we would appreciate if you could:

  • Provide adequate directions to your school
  • Ensure that teachers are available to stay with their classes whilst the workshops are taking place
  • Only include classes as specified above for the workshops
