CARE MOC Sessions - FAQS
- How do I fully participate in CARE: MOC Sessions?
There are three online modules and corresponding sessions. You can register for /participate in one or all three. Register for (each) CARE: MOC Session module and complete Stage A and B. Attend the corresponding CARE: MOC Session (or view the session slides within the module) and either at the session or sometime after the session (or after reviewing the slides) complete Stage C. You must earn a score of 70% or higher on Stage C to earn MOC points and additional CME.
- Am I allowed to just attend the live session(s)?
Yes, you can just attend the live session without registering for the module. You can claim up to 1.5 hours of CME for attending each session (so 4.5 for all three sessions). If you do not complete the online module you cannot claim additional CME or submit for ABIM MOC points.
- Am I allowed to just take the online module?
Yes, you can register for the online module without attending the live session(s). You will just review the session slides that are already posted within the online module rather than attending the live session.
- Are these the same questions/module(s) covered in the MOC Annual Meeting Preconference Course (on Friday from 1:00-6:00 at annual meeting)?
No, the module in the Friday preconference is the ABIM’s 2015 Update in Rheumatology Module. All attendees for that course will be able to follow along in their syllabi to the questions but that online module can only be downloaded by ABIM Diplomates. Instructions on downloading that module are included in the MOC Annual Meeting Course syllabus.
- Do I need to attend the annual meeting to access the CARE: MOC Sessions?
No, anyone can register for each CARE: MOC Sessions module which is $30 but if you are a registered scientific annual meeting attendee you can register for no charge by using the code that was emailed to you Nov. 4, 2015.
